Nice driving and a quick lap but imo it's not a valid BTG time since he drives the entire long strait. Comes flying by the normal starting point at 194km/h for sure that gives a significant boost in laptime.
I seriously consider to order a manifold aswell. But I would like to see some pictures of one actually produced by this new company first old photos from the JMS-era does not do it for me.
Tonight I tried to make the swop for a 197 master cylinder into my Clio 182. I can confirm it does not fit. Both brake line Connections are M12 so plug and play there. But the mountings have completley different bolt pattern.
So it is a no go, now I just wonder what to do with a brand new 197...
Could a GEN90 Pro ECU be used to control a Megané 230/250engine mounted in a Clio 182? If so how many functions differ and what changeswould have to be done to make it work?
I have exactly the same problem with my 1,6 16v, to pass MOT they need to connect, so I have a bit of a problem. My mate work as a Renault mechanic and he told med to:
1. With a multimeter check that OBD connector pin 1 and 16 both get 12v with the ignition on. Check that pin 4 and 5 both give...
Lets hope your Life-Line boss holds up better than mine have. Had it for two years and it has now developed some play, not exactly what you'd expect from such an expensive product. I will return it during the winter.
By using the insainly expensive but slick pre wired option I think: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/steering-wheel-bosses-accessories/lifeline-quick-release-bolt-on-boss
Think I have come up with the cause of this problem as well as a solution. Most of the ideas are stolen from the VW golf community where early models suffer the same kind of problems.
Cause, seems to be play in the splines between driveshaft and wheel hub, even a tiny play there will start...
Hello,
I have a 182 non-cup track car. My front wheel bearings tend to get wasted very quickly. Because of this I do consider to change for cup hubs with the larger bearings hoping they will last better. My questions are:
- Will the bigger bearings last longer?
- Are cup hubs plug and play on...
Its very small even though quite a few hardcore trackday enthusiasts start to realise how good the cars actually are. Very few Clio Sport cars where ever sold in Sweden the 182 beeing the most rare with about 10 sold. On the other hand its kind of fun to be the underdog all the time :)
Thanks for the response
Im considering my options at the moment, the MOT is very hard here in Sweden so I basically have two ways to go:
1. Modify it stealth style and try to sneak it throgh MOT every year. A SC setup can be made stealth but, even if it may work Im worried about the gearbox...
Hi Craig,
Im considering a setup similar to yours and have e few questions:
Are you still on OE ECU?
Have you made no other modifications to the fuelsystem than injectors?
Do you use dump valve?
Do you use electronic boost controller?
Cheers / Mårten
