This is exactly the issue I have after replacing front wishbones, top mounts, track rod ends, ball joints all genuine Renault Parts, horrible to drive 🙈😬
Hi, sorry to hijack your thread I have a 182 Trophy and have a similar issue which has been a nightmare. Since I replaced front suspension with new genuine parts steering has felt light, unstable and unassured, before it was tight and precise. I replaced both front wishbones, ball joints, track...
Oe, bought a pair of new front 182 Cup shocks for the Trophy as one of the Sachs started to leak £83.00 delivered. The originals have done over 10 years which is good going over all, new genuine front wishbones are about £104.00 delivered for the pair so probably the best way to go ;-).
Think you've had pretty back luck lately with the F4R engines as generally they are pretty good as long as they are well maintained with regular servicing and the all important belts changed with dephaser/waterpumps. Ive had 3 F4R Clio's, 172 Cup that I sold at 115k miles in 2013 with full...
Does this look right for 182? is a Valeo unit.

Saw a clean silver 182 going straight over Dereham Road/Sweetbriar roundabout on Wednesday 20th in the morning on the way to work in the Trophy about 07.45 am, he nodded when he saw me waiting to get across the roundabout, private plate was R8 _ _ _ Anyone on here?
Looking sweet mate, nice clean example gotta have the boot badges dont know why people take them off. When you change the coolant give it a good flush out with clean water a few times to ensure the type D doesnt have a pinky tinge. ;-)
Just been out for a blat in my 5GTT, spotted a red Clio Trophy parked outside a house on the new Grosvenor Park estate just through Attleborough in Norfolk, just 6 miles from my house. Anyone on here own it or knows of it?
Saw the front end of a blue 182 in the dark coming the other way at 20.30 tonight on B1113 just past Bunwell heading towards Norwich AP05 was all I saw as I was driving home in the Trophy.
Looks sweet and very original, even Michelin tyres on it. Whats the plan, general clean/freshen up? Just had my exhaust adjusted as it wasnt sitting quite right. :-)
Found abit of time to start checking the Trophy over, noticed the front part of the wheel arch liners were missing N/S/F and damaged O/S/F so sourced some good second hand ones to fit for now, also replacement locking wheel bolts as I only had 3 and N/S/F didnt have one.
Also bought some new...
Didnt tell the Mrs that i had bought it as she would have thought a collection of 4 cars is a little excessive lol so hid it in my folks garage for a while ;-)
Bit of a delayed thread this one as I bought the Trophy in December 2014. Ive have fancied one of these for years after having a 172 Cup for 5 1/2 years and a 172 Full Fat for 2 years. Initially found this one on ebay 10 days before Christmas, sent a few texts asking the usual questions and then...
Get the spring, wheel bearing and no. plate light done as you'll need something to drive, better the devil you know ;-) Make sure it has a good run before it goes for MOT, a friendly tester might be able to get it through the emissions...
Try Black Circles for a new pair of Bridgestone Potenzas as they are pretty keen on price, Continental Sport Contacts arent a bad price and Michelin Pilot Sport 3's are about £80 a corner which is what I run on my Trophy. People really shouldnt fit budget tyres to performance cars with shite...
