    Remote start fitting

Hi, as usual the Nazis with no real idea of how to implement these things reply first. Remote start can be fitted, however depending on what phase your Clio is depends on how easy it is to do. I have a Clifford inteliguard alarm, it has the remote start feature, but on a phase 2, to bypass the...

    Crank pulley sizes

Just to update this, incase anyone else is after similar. The twingo 1.2 has a 7rib belt (aircon model for sure, maybe others) This is an exact replacement, clearance from crank, keyway, internal dia, external dia. The only difference is its 7 rib :)

Sloted top hole coilovers - Camber adjust

Seems the only way. I'll lift the whole car then and have a play. Was just wondering if any tricks were out there that I may have missed. If one side is ball park I guess a reference to that amount once lifted can be copied onto the other side. Thanks :)

Sloted top hole coilovers - Camber adjust

Hi guys, Anyone here have any tricks for adjusting the camber on a slotted top hole coilover? Is it a case of measure camber, moan at how off it is, lift car, adjust, let settle/drive, remeasure, readjust etc... Until happy? Or can you set them once jacked using one of these...

    Crank pulley sizes

That would be great, thanks. The mount is going as soon as I get a pulley that works, will be going for double alts bracket then :)

    Crank pulley sizes

Hi guys, Following on from this: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?597858-Crank-pulley-auxilary-belt&p=9475662#post9475662 I'm still after a 6rib pulley for my 1.2. After some more searching I think that the 1.5d mk2 has a keywayed pulley, which is 6 rib. Can anyone in the know...

    Crank pulley - auxilary belt

Digging this old one up as I have more info - Yes I am that bloody slow at getting round to things :rasp: I came to put a k4m pulley on the other day, keyway was about to be machined then I noticed that the pulley on the k4m is a bigger diameter (the crank hole not the outside dia.) The d7f...

    Lower ball joint. Pinch bolt.

We'll after much fun. I've got the majority of the ball joint off. All except the pinch bolt. I have new bolts in the lot so not worried. I finally removed the nut on the punch bolt. But still can't crack the jaws open. The bolt will not budge. Is the carrier tapped? Or will the bolt just knock...

    A real stereo install ;)

Haha, yeah, it doesn't like accelerating, but once it's got the momentum it's perfect... :P

    A real stereo install ;)

Thanks guys. Yeah, it's a long way off being 'finished'. Currently with power upgrades on the cards I wont be finishing the 'boot' anytime soon. Next task is finish the cabin, but the inside chamber will be changing next year probably, so then, if I have some time on my hands, i'll get it...

    A real stereo install ;)

Thanks, well low frequency bass is not all that damaging to your hearing, as much as most people would think. It's the tweeters and high end frequencies which do the damage, like being in a night club and having your ears ring the next day, I hate that! Everything, for the sub side of things...

    Variable idle speed?

Ah, ok thanks. It may well be easier to knock up an actuator or something to grip the throttle at ~2k instead.

    A real stereo install ;)

Thanks chaps, it's not quite the halfords, "yeah man got myself a kenwood sub ere". Many components are VERY rare now. The amps and HU are very well renown for their quality. This isn't an all out and out boomer, I appreciate that the volume dial moves anti-clockwise too. ;)

    Variable idle speed?

I need a little more than that :) I've got enough battery juice, but it's the recharging that's killing me. I'm working on fitting a 210a alt (should be on soon enough now). I just need to hold those revs. I've got 2 batteries ontop of under the bonnet, not mega current draw right now, but once...

    A real stereo install ;)

It wont be to everyones taste on here... It's still very much a work in progress too... After many many boxes, time spent researching and various trials with equipment. I settled on a setup which I was happy to 'destroy' the rear part of my clio for...

    Variable idle speed?

Yeah, exactly that. How do the 'power start' things work? I don't know the correct name, but you press a button, it revs like mad then pulls away sharpish? Or I might just get a 'click in' actuator and hold the throttle open in booming periods.

    Variable idle speed?

Can you change the idle speed of the clio with relative ease? If not, how is the idle speed sensed and controlled? ECU and an idle sensor? Basically I will soon have a pretty big load on my engine, even though it's stationary. I risk stalling my engine, so currently will have to hold my foot...

    Crank pulley - auxilary belt

Sounds good. I have a feeling they may be different internal diameters (the flanged side), would you know? I'll go raid a scrappy, see if I can get a few different ones together and compare. Thanks for your help

    Crank pulley - auxilary belt

Lol, well it's all well and good but will the bloody pulley fit? I've taken a look and it looks to be held on just by a single nut, are the others like this? Anyone got a pic of a 1*2/1.6/1.4 pulley pretty please? You'd be surprised just how much effort has gone on the front end too, so yeah...

    Crank pulley - auxilary belt

    Crank pulley - auxilary belt

I have myself a new alt here waiting to go on (210a ;) ). It's a 7 rib jobbie. I know i could remove this pulley and put the 3 rib on. However if I did this i guess i'll get major slippage when I start drawing some decent current. So I thought it would be more practical to change the crank...

    Crank pulley - auxilary belt

Ok, Can you swap a crank pulley for a different one (different number of ribs). Or are they not just a bolt on job and are different fitments? Basically I have poverty model 1.2 and it's only got a 3 rib belt (for just the alt). Now I know there's larger sizes out there (6rib maybe?) Can I...

    Clutch gone, worth doing cambelt?

So my clutch has started slipping, so I know I need to get that changed. As it's an engine out job, is it worth getting the cambelt done at the same time to save me some money, cambelt is due... Or would there be very little price difference in having them done separately?

    172 rear springs vs 1.2

Hi guys, With reference to just the springs, will a 172 rear spring fit on a 1.2? Furthermore, is the 172 spring different to a 1.2 spring? Can it bare more weight and does it make the rear of the car 'sit higher'? Thanks

    Voltage of the Central locks?

I'm still stuck on this central locking. I think I'm going to tap into the switch on the central locking now. However i'm still unsure of how it works. I think that it's all controlled on the pink wire and both lock and unlock is controlled by joining the pink wire to gnd. Is it that easy? So...
