Clio 182 vs x85 cup racer question

As Mark say the X85's are on a different planet to homebuilt 182 race cars I chucked plenty of money at mine and still never went as well as my cup race car and I don't even run the racer on slicks most of the time! The chassis on the x85 is much better with the front end geo and technology...

Nearly a year since updating this thread! Been really busy year with work but we got the car out at Brands a few weeks ago and then Nurburgring and Spa last weekend! Still running the cars on the Dunlop DZ03’s as saves a fair bit of money compared to running them on slicks. Cars were running...

My Cup around Brands. Hints and tips welcome

Looks pretty good to me, That line they teach you and cone out for druids is much slower in a clio. When you are half way through the braking phase into druids just start to pull the car in towards the kerb, you will cover much less ground which will more than make up for slightly slower average...

Yes was great to catch up with you both :) glad you enjoyed! The std racer exhausts are LOUD! We bought the std road car exhausts and put a flared joint on so the back boxes are interchangeable in no time. The road back box makes its suitable for pretty much any track. We thought they were...

Green Track Cup - Back To Basics

RSR's are utter s**t in the wet from what I've found, we run Avon CR28's and they are by far the best wet tyre we've found. They look rubbish but aren't a million miles of a full race wet

You should of come and said hi! I didn't have a passenger at any point of the night so could have taken you out in it. Nope it doesn't blip so heel and toe really smoothens it up, couldn't last night though as had a problem with the gear position sensor so was too busy counting gears rather...

Sounds good Andrew :) I'll try dig out my croft data but 1.35 rings a bell on a Trackday. The Clio cup cars this year were doing low 1.32's

Ph1 172 Track Car. Next Year I Go Racing - Hopefully!

I understand what you are saying Tom but the problem is you have to be able to check eligibility for the series relatively easy so if turbo/superchargers aren't allowed its pretty easy to see if they are fitted. If you then change that to whatever you want as long as it doesn't exceed 230bhp...
