It is a bit of jump from the Swift, I had quite a few quickish cars before the Swift but that was over 3 years ago. Its good to be back in something with some power. The Swift was a great car though!
I drove my dads r26 with the diff and it did make the front end feel very positive, but this car definitely doesn't feel to be lacking grip and it still has a great chassis. Looking forward to doing a Nurburgring trip / track day early next year!
Thanks, short plate I have had for years so have become used to it, know what you mean though sometimes I'm not sure - more of a tradition for me though!
Had the car since November now, getting used to it too. So far so good, it really highlights how slippy the roads are - yes you miss the diff but it still finds an amazing amounts of grip and is a perfect blend for me of ride comfort when you want it and fun too!

Fair enough, I enjoy how it drives without the lsd still, ideal spec for me would be non cup suspension with lsd - not really found it lacking in front end grip as of yet though!
I can imagine - it surprises me how much grip it has in the wet even without the diff, also at the lack of any torque steer! Thats interesting... have you remapped yours?
I chose deliberately not to have the cup pack, wanted ride quality over ultimate handling, no doubt they handle better with cup, but its so rare that I drive it to that level that a diff would be of benefit. Still is a cracking car without it.
After just over 3 years with the Swift Sport, I finally decided on a change so have bought a Megane 250 - people on here will probably question why I went for a none cup car, but I really fancied something which went well, rode nicely and looked less shouty so this seemed to fit the bill. Yes...
Finally decided to get a new car, I now have a Megane 250 waiting in the garage once I sell this, hopefully it will go soon but if anyone is interested its cheap! :)
There were only a couple of clio's there but the ones I met on track were pretty modified, stripped out etc so they were quite a bit quicker on the straights, I was similar in pace to the mk2 mx5's and passed a few steadily driven quicker cars such as a wrx, there was a lot of quick machinery...
Cool, it does feel at home on track too, everyone I take out in it is always surprised at how well it goes! Nicely balanced too, you don't just get under steer and at the same time it's never snappy on the back end.
Its been completely reliable so far, with the exception of the stereo turning itself up but I put that down to not using the volume control and possibly static build up.
They do a supercharger conversion but I don't fancy putting £3k into the car (plus mapping I believe!)
Cheers, its the longest I have ever kept a car (almost 3 years now) and I still enjoy driving it. Such good fun on track, think I need to get some more booked! Because it is light it doesn't seem to wear brakes / tyres much either. So far in the time I have had it, it's been faultless and still...
Bit of an update, just had the car mot'd and serviced again at the main dealers. Went for some new discs and had the Suzuki Sport Group N pads fitted. Took the car to Cadwell yesterday and it went really well. Still enjoy driving this on track so much, really handles nicely. The brakes are now...
Hi All,
Just looking to put some new discs on with some track / fast road pads. Is there really much difference in OEM / Euro car parts Pagid discs over something from Godspeed / Brembo HC? Just trying to justify whether the cost difference is worth it, will the standard pagid items warp...
I don't know what peoples problem is with team dynamics, they are light and strong wheels with a Motorsport heritage, they maybe not as nice as turinis but still think they look good!
