I'm pretty pleased with this one http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk/Products,107,toView_407.html The durability is good and the results upon using on interior plastics/vinyl are very satisfying.
However the bottle is now empty. I'm now in the market to buy another one or perhaps a product...
Admittedly the have been used on my Ibiza mk 4. However they aren't actually next a heat source i.e. the head light bulb. In fact each part of the headlamp cluster is separate for each bulb. So the side light bulbs slot into a sort of tube/cylinder shape. This isn't receiving any heat from any...
Did you buy the above bulbs? I did, had em' in now for around two months or so. Pretty pleased at first, they are certainly bright and the illumination is certainly 360 degrees as stated.
However I noticed they've looked a little dull in the past few weeks. I've taken both out and to my dismay...
I guess this is a question that's been asked a few times before. Anyway, it would seem according to the retailers that the Exalto 2's are becoming a little difficult to get hold of for a good price. Camskill out of stock and unsure when the next delivery will be.
I always used Exalto's on the...
As mentioned, I have used a mobile paint specialist years back for a simple scratch on the front bumper. I was happy with the outcome, to the naked eye without scrutinising the job the work was nearly flawless. I used Flying Colours but I think they may have disbanded by now.
But with all the...
Well, I am planning to keep on to the Ibiza for the next few years and I am quite particular about the paint finish. So with this in mind perhaps it would be best to take the car to a body shop.
Thanks for info, much appreciated :)
I have used a mobile specialist before and was quite happy with the work done. Ok it was a gloss white and simple scratch that was repaired in fine weather conditions. But that's all it was, a scratch on the bumper. I figured it might do well to post on the...
Quite a few stone chips on the bonnet, bumper and wings.
Would it usually be cheaper to have a mobile paint repair specialist or visit a body shop? Also will the quality vary between the two?
Thanks :)
My usual method is to wash the tyre walls with a separate mitt to the bodywork and use regular diluted shampoo. Then rinsing and allowing to dry naturally. However I dried them with a clean towel the other week and found black deposits on the towel. I'm unsure if this was dirt or not. Possibly...
Not keen to go the route of Der Wunder towels once more. First pair I bought back in 2007 were very good. Then in 2009 I bought another pair with a slightly dark edging to them, very dissapointed since they weren't a touch on the first pair.
Tried the Monster Drying Towels from Cleanyourcar...
Z5 is a sealant then? I've got a bottle of Clearkote glaze sitting on the shelf, a sealant can be applied over this? Who manufactures Z 5 and the rough cost is?
Cheers Dave, the info as is always very much appreciated!:)
I think a wax would be ok for the gas guzzling Monaro since it live most of its life under a cover! Only does under 3K miles per year. But the Ibiza being the daily driver would probably benefit from a sealant as it should require less...
Tried Tough Coat, worked out reasonably well. Liked the fact it was easier to apply than E G P but found the results to be more or less the same. Left a sort haze on my metallic black Monaro, bit disappointed about that.
So, I'm the hunt for a better sealant than E G P (greater durability) with...
Just reflectors, as long as the headlight is lowered correctly they usually don't give any trouble. I had a set in my Lancer Evolution IV. Never had anyone flashing me as I passed. Also had a friend drive the towards me, again no issues.
Just trying to find out what the decent kits are and what...
Obviously there's various H I D kits on the market. Question is which one to go for. I don't know a great deal about H I D lighting, in which case does the brightness and definition from kit to kit? Looking for high quality kit that's well made and does the job better than most available...
i liked the idea of 195 lumens compared to my measly 36 lumens so I've bought a pair too. Just waiting for them to be delivered. Does say though to keep away from plastics in the head lights.
Looking for a set (front and rear) seat covers. The importance is on quality rather than on pattern or colour.
Long lasting, breathable, waterproof and something that fits very well and that doesn't move around on the seat.
Any ideas?
Thanks :)
I think I would probably be better off with a bulb incorporating multiple L E D s for the sake of bouncing the light around in the reflector. That would seem to be the function of the side light anyway rather than creating a direct focused beam.
Youre using these as interior bulbs then? I'm...
These seem interesting too. Have you tried many L E D side light bulbs? If so how do these compare? I'm guessing they're more like the idea of a torch in respect to how the light is emitted as opposed to the 360 degree L E D bulbs?
Im very interested in those! 195 lumens! Way better than mine. I think I might order some of them tomorrow. Much better price than I paid too! Should've shopped around :(
Yeah, that's an option I guess. Was keen to keep the sides in though and make an improvement over the O E M bulbs. I figured this WOULD be possible with aftermarket L E D s ??
Recently replaced mine with these: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-Can-bus-Super-Bright-360-Degree-5-LED-bulbs.html?bulb_search=c22039
Can't say I'm actually that taken with them. I find the brightness to be the same as the O E M gear. Except they have a nice clean look to them.
Anybody...
Yeah I wasn't too keen on keeping the Magic Tree in the bag. Plus I found that it didn't make it last any longer like the instructions said it would!:(
