Yer I knew it didn't have rear speakers guys. Most don't...
The wierd thing is...it has the rear speaker wires coming from the headunit but they dont seem to be coming out on the loom at the rear?!
I heard you either had rear speakers in, no rear speakers at all but the wire in place, or...
Hey guys. I am fitting some rear speakers for my mate in his 1.2 16v extreme mk2. As you are all aware they don't come fitted from standard so I was unsure as to whether there would be wires in place for them.
Therefore, I first checked the speaker plug going into the rear of the headunit...
So...let me get this straight...
First thing to do is take the CD player out and take out the power and speaker plugs. First...how do I know which is the speaker plug? IIRC the power plug has 7 connectors and the speaker one has 8?!?!
So when I find the speaker plug, I check whether it has 8...
Hey guys, my mate has just purchased some new rear 13cm speakers for his clio mk2 (i think ph2).
As standard there are no rear speakers but I have read many threads and am very confused as some people say that there are wires but they are hard to find and others say there are no wires? Ahhhh...

I have only used it 3 times and just don't...
Like I said Sandler...the rear shelf feels too weak and over time may/will probably sag in the middle (Not good!).
You have two options to be honest buddy. I would upgrade the standard speakers in the car (both front and rear) but you could upgrade the front speakers and get some 6'9s along...

Thanks a lot :D
combine04: I can't remember who told me...but it was a cracking idea! To spread I used speed 3 and did three quick passes and then I used speed 5 to work the polish in. Didn't need to use speed 6 to be honest! I was however working/passing a lot more than the first time I tried and the hazing...
Sorry I should have said:
I used the 4" SFX - 2 (white polishing) spot pad this time! I did two/three hits of #83 and then two hits of #80. Each time I did about 10 slow passes and then rubbed off a little polish and checked it under the light. Then if there was marring I polished for a...

I have updated it today but couldn't change to title to say "Update".
Thanks
UPDATE 4/SEPT
Right first things first thanks to everyone especially Andy H for the help/advice. All of it has been extremely useful!
On with the work:
I bought a scrap panel to test my polishing on as I just couldn't compensate making a mess on my new 182. I made sure I bought a racing...
Right now for some results:
Bare in mind this was my first proper attempt. The swirls seem to be 70% gone. I am happy although i do still have some noticable scratches (in laquer not paint/primer). Maybe I need to do slower passes, more passes do it more time etc etc. But this will all be done...
Right today I am going to attempt to remove the swirl marks from my Racing Blue Clio 182. After much advice my weapon of choice is the Ultimate Detailing Machine. This is an orbital polisher which not only spins, but oscillates as well developing random orbits, with varying elliptical orbits...
Hey guys, looking for cars lowered on sportlines or prolines to do a little comparrison. Please state which you have when posting the picture  If the cars have turinis it would be good, but standard 182 wheels are fine :rasp:
Thanks a lot!
Sorted...
"I have gotten away with it lightly!"
Rang them up once again to complain to the main man and got to speak to one of the mechanics and a manager. The receptionist actually undercharged me by £24 for the oil!!! She thought it was a normal clio service and put down on the receipt...
I just got off the phone to them this morning. First thing I asked about was the oil...and she said that the car had a semi synthetic oil put into it which is the correct oil for the car. She said that Gravells (the company) have recently changed the computer systems so the oil that actually...
LOL...thanks for all the comments guys! Makes all the cleaning and photo fuss worth it!
Also, thanks for the subtle mod suggestions...I think the wise first move is silvervisions!
Cheers all :D
I think I was charged £30 for oil aswell...The second line states '12k Service LU which I guess means lubricant/oil? Therefore I was charged £27 plus the next line which was £3?
Just got back from having the 182 serviced at Gravells Haverfordwest (South Wales).
Preety happy with it to be honest although I have a few things to question.
They used 5/30 oil and not the specified 5/40.
They checked off all of the tyres as above 5mm when one is nearly bald.
They...
Hey guys, got my splitter from Phil recently so thought I would get some new pictures. I have also clayed, polished and waxed the car due to the fact that it had loads of tar on the sides. Megs clay sorted that out with a bit of persistance!
Thanks all, comments and little mod suggestions...
Hmmm this is interesting! Liking this thread! My car is a beauty at the moment apart from two things/defections. Some tar on the lower doors and swirls marks all over (I think the previous owners used a supermarket style car wash a little too much!).
Be interesting to see who is in/around this...
