I have often used myshowplates.com - no documentation required and they have the BSAU bit in the corner which appears to satisfy the tester come MOT time if they even bother to check.
They don’t have the makers details to the centre which I believe is a requirement, but I detest random company...
This chap is worth a watch If you like to see down to earth guys within the motor trade. Fairly new channel - he trades from home but has just taken on a small site to expand which he's documenting.
Picked up a retractable air hose reel for a shade over £40 at Eurocarparts with their latest £5 off over £40 spend voucher code. Chinese made no doubt.
Always fancied one despite rarely using air tools these days. At that money I thought I’d give it a punt. Fully expect it to have perished...
I bought some of these the other day.
I’ve long had some T handle ones but wasn’t aware Halfords sold them in screwdriver form. And less than a tenner for the set too!
RS components do sets but they can be pricey.
Personally, I’ve a number of compartmented storage trays which I have built up over time with common sizes. Google your nearest fastening supplier, or alternatively there are sellers on eBay who do 10,50 etc of specific sizes.
Does anyone have any recommendations for smoke alarms/heat detectors within a garage? Smart, linked etc. Ideally not wired.
A friend of mine nearly lost his home recently when a lithium battery started a fire within his integral garage and it's made me think.

I may have the opportunity to purchase a second hand snap-on bearing puller set.
However it’s rather large, very similar to this.
The pullers are no doubt OTT for motor vehicles and more suited to heavy goods vehicles or agricultural stuff etc.
Would probably end up being a decorative piece...
Battery terminal crimping tools - any recommendations? I need to crimp just a couple of connections and it’s not the sort of tool I’m likely to use much at all in future so I don’t want to spend a lot on one.
I am sporting a 6S so I could do with upgrading. I'm on a cheap sim only deal so I'd buy the handset opposed to a contract.
Now the 14 is out, is there a pattern to when Apple tend to reduce the previous version?
As you may have seen from the FS thread, I gave the car a going over with the DA. Not a bad bit of kit for the money! Meguires ultimate compound and some Auto Finesse glaze brought it back up very well indeed.
The one that came with it is bloody huge, so I did buy a smaller one and backing plate. Not got a lot to lose, I’ll give it a tickle and see what happens.
Very difficult to photograph flat white paint, especially under artificial light. It’s 23 year old Peugeot white.
This is the roof after...
Noob here looking for a product to remove oxidation from white (single stage ?) paint.
I went over a panel with super resin polish and it has improved it slightly, however now rather than a chalky flat roof I have a mix of shine, oxidation and a finish that looks like polish that has dried...
