Thanks for this, I have just been towed home by the RAC because muy squeezing the key trick stopped working, might save me £200 or whatever Renault charge for a new key...
Will be fitting an amp and a set of new components to my 172 this weekend - does anybody know if the standard speaker wire can cope with 60W RMS to 4 ohm speakers? Don't really fancy getting new wires through to the doors unless completely necessary...
That's the one you bought from me! (DaneC). I know it had a massive failure very shortly after, but I saw it on eBay without the Turbines afterwards so guessing it survived...
Selling an exhaust off my 172 on eBay, stainless, very quiet, well hidden, but does need the backbox hanger welding back on where it has snapped off due to poor design.
Was on the car when I bought it so no idea of the history, looks custom made as nothing is branded...
If it is all your speakers check the connections behind the headunit (and make sure you haven't turned them off in the settings), if its just one speaker check the connection behind the speaker. Both are easy to get to.
The hanger on my backbox have snapped, exhaust it still on but hanging via centre mount, can someone with welding experience let me know if they think this is repairable?
I would like to keep this exhaust simply as the sound is perfect, not droney at all, and I have found it difficult in the...
Passed me just after I crossed the road near the edge of A building, apparently was in Laindon Tesco afterwards too.
I used to have a Sunflower Ph1 too. I miss it. Oh how I hate you now.
If you are desperate for the money then sell, but they are a useful diagnostic tool if any error codes pop up, personally I would just sell when getting rid of the car.
I'm looking to buy a new backbox for my Ph1 172 - am I right in thinking that only the length for the centre section differs between models with or without a post-cat lambda sensor, and therefore the backboxes are identical between all Ph1 and Ph2 172s?
Spotted a presumably broken down Ph2 Valver on the A130 near Basildon on my way to work yesterday, looks serious as there was no one anywhere near it, pity as I love those cars. Anyone on here?
I have managed to avoid electrical gremlins with the Clios. Until now.
The drivers window will only go down, not up. There is a relay click from behind the glovebox, but no current at the connector for the window motor. If i repeatedly click the switch, about 1/100 times it will work and go up...
No worries, it's a good chance for me to learn something. So far this is in my shopping basket (ignore the pic of the molex plug, the picture is generic), what is the cheapest crimping tool I can get away with for this job?
I have a second hand Pioneer TS-WX77A slimline sub to fit, however instead of usual robust amp connections, Pioneer have put all the power and audio inputs onto a harness connector - over the years the pins have weakened and two have broken. The previous owner bodged up one of the earths, but...
Here is the test report of Tesco Momentum 99 vs other fuels if you are interested. Only looks at fuel economy though.

I haven't read through it all myself but I worked there when this test was carried out, it was done legitimately.
