TBH any cars thats light 172bhp or more at the front with no abs or traction is gonna be a bit of a handful in the wet smooth is the way forward dont jump on the throttle or breaks (wet)

i get 32-34 driving normal town 172 cup

good site that but doesn't include gear box and ratio which can be a big factor that site is in "theory" but good for states and guides

yeah i have always wondered about these std vs std i would think 172/182 is quicker but loads are modded would be a good challenge

greenlight said they don't insure 172cup anymore due to too many claims against them

cant remember what in the class? cant be the Focus RS or CTR as they are both quicker but if it was up against VTS and ST150 then yeah defo quicker still not actually fast car in general great fun i will admite :)

yeah middle section where it bends to attach to the rear box mine only lasted 27k fitted a mk2 stealth KTEC

thought the CTR was like mid 16secs and 172/182 was mid 17secs

i bought rear shocks on my 172 cup £106 per inc VAT direct from renualt

is there a difference between the 172cup and 172 ff box?

i used to own a ST150 performance isnt very good feels dull and too smooth handles well and brakes are good 172/182 would take the ST150 no problem

no 2 cars are the same u get a fast and slow one if u know what i mean get 2 identical cars out the showroom bentch mark them and they wont be idenital - always get a slighty qicker one could be just a slower cup test drive another

with them mods u wont have 170bhp @ wheels thats like approx 220bhp at fly

yeah wasnt impress with the top end of the 172 cups quick to 60mph not to bad to 100mph but after 100mph they really lack the last 39mph after 120mph they are very slow to pick up

what makes u not like them?

4wd tend to eat tyres quicker also people tend to swap them round

T1-R's are good and pretty cheap too

on the cup its suppose to be very easy and quick as it has no air con air con models take longer

yeah i use zsoc - had a zs about 4 years ago and still use the site I'm on the Type R & Skyline forum too I get about LOL
