I miss my cup :( - Still want to get another, but insurance wont allow it anymore. Once you own/drive another car you really do appreciate how much of an awesome little car they are
Does anyone know of any short term insurance companys? I'm possibly being charged with Dangerous Driving () and if the false evidence is enough I dont wanna be stuck with a policy I cant use! Its not for certain yet, but anyone knoe of any companys? Thanks!
Had a fair few miles, 52k, but full renault service history (good on paper, but we know its not ;) ) - 2 previous owners and was in pretty much mint condition from my ownership.
Foxon - Dont think I can get hold of them if its a write off unless I take it and break it? - Much hassle if thats...
Whoever said thats repairable, apparantly £6883 to repair it, writeoff! (Not that I didnt expect it). I'm sure they'll now offer some rubbish payout :(
One of the things im thinking, but my claim is going to show on any insurance quotes for 3 years (for some insurers I think they ask for 5) and thats going to ruin my chances of getting a Cup or anything of a similar insurance group.
Pretty screwed either way, and If I did get a new car, it...
It's gonna be a few years before I can afford to splash out on insurance for a cup or anything similar insurance wise so a newish car seems the best bet, something that will last the duration, maybe beyond and have low running cost. Can prob afford around 10k on a car, depending on what it is!
OK so after my little accident last week my Cup has been declared an "initial" write off, as expected really!
Returned to work today, and already had enough of public transport so I really need to get back on the road.
Insurance payout should cover all outstanding Finance but I'll be left with...
Cheers guys, necks gone abit sore but could of been worse! Stopped in at Renault on the way back (was pretty much next door to the recovery place), they said to hold out for 6k insurance payout which I think may be abit too much? 50k miles etc?
Depends on the insurance payout really still have some finance outstanding, would like another but think it would be a FF or a trophy in a year or so. May have to get a crappy run about for now!
Had a slight accident last night, dont think the cups going to pull through :(
Lost for words really :dapprove: car seemed to loose it, not sure if something came off/went wrong but wasnt really going fast and it just span out, tried to correct it but no chance really.
Pictures speak louder...
Have seen the guy (Or at least who I think) who owns it posting on here but never seen the car! Saw it near the mini-roundabout on Oakdale road about 17:45 tonight!
Had a little 306 1.4 during my first year of driving (17-18) and then upgraded (understated) to a 172 cup. Had dodgier moments in the 306 than I have done in the cup. I'd expect most people to have enough sense after a few months of driving to own one and not be reckless.
Most recent ones will have adapters to buy which allow you to use them, I have an alpine and I think it cost me an extra 20/30 but It may have been cheaper.
I remember seeing another company posting interest in offering a discount or something a few weeks back. It was shortly after Greenlight pulled the discount? What happened with that?
Nope, but if it got me a new set of alloys I would of done. The ones ive come in contact with usually give a blank expression behind the counter and attempt to work out what day of the week it is.
