It was a good show it was tipping it down when i got there for about an hour (10am) then the sun popped out! Seemed amazingly busy as apposed to previous years, when we left at 1pm people were queing out the gates! Some lovely cars there though my favourite was the cut up beetle with thatched...
They didnt bother with the dsg on these- existing r8's use the R-tronic gearbox found in lambo gallardo etc Dont think they dare use the dsg as they are far from perfect (a matter of opinion of course!)and also cant handle the power/engine layout or as said they can come with a 6 speed manual...

Sorry to go backwards slightly but to fit the engine its just a case of using all 172 mounts (engine/gearbox and dogbone) or does anything on the car have to be modified? Then its just a case of sorting the fuelling/loom/managment and downpipe out?
Toypop, is that the palmer motorsport sensation you are talking about? If so i have been on that day and fully agree with wht you say about the jp1 in the bends. But then i drove the formula palmer Audi and that was even better, i couldnt believe how quick you could take bends in it!
Nice vid. That is an old shape RS4 (2.7bi-turbo) so it would 'only' cost you 22k now! Also only made in avante form but i think they look good.
Scariest bit for me is that the brake pad warning light is on too!
