Agree with your Fiesta comments but the £175K for a house is only madness if buying a box flat in London, where you can touch all the walls from the middle of the room. You get lots of different sized houses these days...
As above, wait. Be patient, enjoy driving instead of eating tree when you rap your 172 around one. Those quotes are crazy money for a 172, not worth it at all. It's all very well being a safe driver but what if something else happens to the car that wasn't your fault, it can still affect the...
Fan boy is on about something but I don't know what. It seems that the Ford marketing department said they (Fiesta ST) don't compete with Clio and then said they did and now Chris Harris (great reviewer of cars) who was testing the new Focus ST says it's not aimed at the RS Megane. The Focus RS...
No clue what you just wrote or what your point is. And you can always compare two cars no matter what they are. It's maybe pointless in some cases but you can still do it.
Exactly what I'm saying here. They want a cheaper car but to still be better than the Clio, so they are competing which places it in the same category before you even look at the actual car. Marketing genius - not so much.
More likely they headed to a forum and asked the question, 'who has a Clio Sport at 19?' and everyone said, £4000 to insure, best waiting until you are older and go for the cheaper option, the ST. It performs really well, is only a touch slower as it's down to the driver mostly and is much nicer...
Why are you generalising a forum vs. a marketing team? You're not really getting this. Just because Ford aim the car at a certain age group (which is fine) and say they don't want to compete with Renault for sales reasons doesn't automatically mean their car falls into a made-up category because...
A statement of marketing intent doesn't mean anything. Surely you can see that or have you got your tadger so far up Ford's bottom that you can't see anything any more?
Yes, this has become boring and it doesn't have anything to do with the subject. The fact that the Fiesta ST is discussed so...
Haha, who gives a flying fcuk who the Ford marketeers are aiming the ST at. It's the end user that will define where it's placed. They could be aiming it a the OAP market but if it is a good car, it will not be compared to Micras or Kias or whatever the OAP's drive these days. Who reads this...
I'd say the Fiesta ST is in the hot hatch bracket and should be compared against the Clio, not that you can't compare the Clio to the Focus, Megane, Astra...
Yes, the Fiesta is aimed at younger drivers but it's still a performance hatch and just so happens to be at the bottom of the hot hatch...
