just the first pic the light was fading on me and camera was on the wrong setting but the 2nd and 3rd pics the sun was out and shows the monaco blue off at its best.....its weird how it changes in the sun such a nice colour:)
cheers for all the nice comments:cool: makes me not want to sell it lol
well i might have to sell them and get a standard set if having them on it puts people off buying it, dont see why it would though as i think its a good improvement!
nah matey white doesnt do it for me lol always thought the anthracite would go well on it, cheers for the comments fellas!
yeah decided to sell up trev ive enjoyed the wee car loads since last year but ive always wanted a nice subaru and i think it time for turbo power....gettin the clio taxed...
i know its been done before loads but i think they suit it well, and stands out a good bit more now than with the standard rims, a set of eibach pros give it a subtle drop too
before
now
Cheers! - PS ITS FOR SALE pm me of interested:)
cheers buddy gonna have to pull them out again my mate fitted them and he reckoned they are def in right but they shouldnt be clunking and creaking like that im sure
as per title mates just wanted to maybe get an idea of the sound as some say its nice and deep but not too loud others say sounds like s**t all:S
Cheers

is there any difference in the above cars suspension ie shock size etc as i got a set of eibachs 2nd hand that were on a 182 with cup suspension and i was told they would fit my 172 ff thing is they are clunking like f**k at the front and creaking it just doesnt feel/sound right
any insight...
seriously lads? are they s**t sounding? i like the sound of the magnex just not the look too big under the bumper and unfortunately i live in N.Ireland so cant go and get a prospeed stealth made up...any suggestions
my 172 ff is more grown up i suppose than my 106 was but i think its a better all round car and more reliable too maybe because its newer.
the 172 has alot more torque also
they are a good going we car i think, up there with the likes of civic type r's focus rs etc(standard of course) i suppose for fwd u wont get much quicker on b roads, on a straight 2.0 turbo cars will prob be quicker esp up over 100mph
but the only cars that will take it a step further in...
yeah just fitted on saturday and only drove about 10-20 miles since fitting im sure they were fitted in the grooves top and bottom just doesnt sound healthy
since fitting my prolines i have a weird creaking noise from the front and the odd clunk from the passenger side mostly...only happens when stationery and turning wheel lock to lock
anyone else had this after fitting springs? should i be worried...
thanks

true my vti civic felt faster than the 172 but i know in reality the clio is quicker, they dont feel quick though which is the prob and tbh i always thought mine felt really torquey low down moreso than my rs2000 which had 145 lb/ft the clio has 158lb/ft though i found out on the rolling road
i think vtr's feel quicker than they are given that they are 8v engines and quite snappy low down as they are not waiting on a kick the way a 16v does...mate of mine had one years ago and it was nippy and "felt" sharp but in real speed terms they arent that quick...the sport clios dont give a...
it shouldnt be sluggish at low revs i find my 172 very snappy low down all the way from 2000-5000rpm makes it very nice to drive and it should be streets ahead of a vtr
drive a B series vtec angine and u would see a big difference before it comes on cam.....so little torque in them and def...
id say performance wise standard for standard they would be quite similar in a straight line when you go on power to weight ratio.....a remapped astra apparantly gets upto 245bhp for 500 quid great value for money and id say it would leave a 172 esp above 60mph.....well you would like to think so
nah trev they look a bot like the dynamique wheels i think too plain, id love turinis but the set i had my eye on will need 2 professionally repaired, 2 new tyres and all 4 wheels repainted or powder coated plus getting them shipped to N.Ireland so it will end up costing me near 500 quid to have...
looks real nice on the silver too! wonder how they look against monaco blue, i think anthracite might be too dark against the dark blue so ill prob go with a nice bright silver set
i know alot of people have turinis...but over here in N.Ireland there are very few rs clios or cups so it would...
im selling my standard 16's of my phase 2 172 and may have a buyer problem is it will be a short while before i can get the wheels that i am replacing them with as i need to add a bit of money to get them
question is would 14" steelies fit my motor in the mean time or would it be tight with...
has anyone got a pic of this also do you need a 10mm spacer each side as the cups are 20mm wider track or am i being thick lol
any help appreciated
thanks
