The Samsung doesn't look to be a true OLED tv? I haven't seen any reviews so it might be as good as the LG but I think I would want OLED if spending a chunk of money on a new tv at this point in time.

In terms of filling ability? I realise black hole doesn't have any sealant qualities to make it durable enough to use on it's own. So I wasn't thinking about comparing the durability of each product.
I've just bought a 70D from Panamoz, best price I could find. I upgraded from a 400D and it is much better, especially in low light. I have bought a spare battery and two SD cards for it. I would look into getting a tripod if you have not got one already.
I've got one at the moment, I upgraded to it from the Canon 50mm f1.8 because I wanted something wider than the 50mm. It is very good, produces some nice bokeh. But can have an annoyingly narrow depth of field if you don't adjust the aperture properly or happen to focus incorrectly.
