My mistake - I was under the impression the COD issues were solely in relation to non-series X games being run on the series X, but doesn't sound like that's the case.

I don't get the hate either. It's like battlefield with a star wars skin, which isn't unexpected considering they're both by Dice. I don't see what's not to like. Will tide me over until battlefield 5 comes out, 4 was getting a little bit stale.

Just buy a NAS drive and a raspberry pi. There will be no issues with the transcoding as the pi does it. If you've got an Xbox one you could use that instead of the pi.
