Thanks, but not sure the old man would go for that - :S he loves his cars more than most. He likes the American style too, used to have a 82 5.0l V8 Mustang so maybe a part ex for the vette?
Neil, thanks for that, appreciate the info. I'm not sure what poilcy he has but he's just had a call from the insurance company saying that it will cost £22k to repair as they want to put a complete new body shell on it, and that if it is deemed a write off, he would get anything from £27k to...
hi, don't know anyone called Dan, but i think I know who you're talking about. Its got a bit of a kit on and lowered, with Audi wheels I think. And instead of Bora on the boot its got FATASS in VW letters....same guy? if so, I've seen the car a few times in the Powerleague car park. I only got...
yeah you'll only get a 2 ch stereo sound anyway. The S550 won't split the signal into 5.1, but even if its on a virtual surround mode, you shoudn;t get a watery sound. you may get an echo, depending on the sound field selected.
below is my old mans recently crashed merc slk 350. He'd only had it a month. Now it cost £37k. and thats what its insured for.....but what sort of value, if its written off, would he receive? does anyone know how this works? is is trade value, or is it average auction value?
I was guessing...
All I was saying, was that most people on here are a fan of fast, nippy, hot hatches, regardless of what make they are. Just cos they're on a clio forum, doesn't mean they think they own the best car in the world.
You're saying that cos they've subscribed or post on a Clio forum...
People don't just join this forum to blow their own trumpets and pat each other on the back for owning the same or similar cars. Its called 'Cliosport', not 'Lets all w8nk over each other Clios!' Most people on here have a ClioSport because its fun to drive and fast for the money. There's no...
I like it mate. the Mrs has had 2 mini coopers, one was a cab, and I think they're good fun and great to chuck about. Looking at getting a cooper S at the moment. One like that would be ideal. very nice
Re: how shite are clio's!
my 172 never fell apart and with 62K on the clock, I even had no rattles....BUT....I just couldn't stand the tinny feel to it and the crap plastics used inside.
I had to get a diesel for work and looked through all the Reanults witin budget, Clio, Laguna and Megane...
I'm struggling to sell mine. Its the same as yours (mileage and spec) but an 03. I've had it in the trader and on pistonheads for 5995 and had not bites for 2 weeks. Waiting for Renault to come back to me and see what they're going to offer me.
thanks. thinking back, I should've kept it. sold it to a bunch of 'do ya like dags' pikeys who almost smashed it up on the way out the car park at work.
made me feel sick, but i needed the cash at the time
ummmm, not sure about that Neil G....don't think they were but I could be wrong
mine was like my Clio, Alcantara and Leather., although the seats aren't the best for support.
I had a Gti-6 phase 3 and without doubt its quicker than 8.5 to 60mph. 7.2 - 7.5 is about right. Very similar handling to the Clio and just as fun to drive. Pros and Cons for both but for me, the 306 is built better. Feels more solid and more planted on the road. And when I sold it last year, It...
welcome
not sure about the 182, not driven one, but my 172 brakes are 100 times better than my old 205 gti.
As for the gearstick, not sure, mines solid - stick around. someone will give you an answer soon enough
I had a celica cab, the one after that with the twin headlights. £30k new. It was good as a cruise machine, but as I've found with most Toyota's I've been in or driven, they've absolutelyt got no involevment for the driver.
Great design and mechanically sound and reliable, but boring as fcuk
cheers kullycliosport
just been on there and saw a yellow and a red V6 but no 172's etc. Just wandered if anyone knew a retailer who sold them - otherwise I'll have to wait till I spot one on e-Bay.
this may have been answered before but I'm struggling to find anything completely relevant using the search.
I've got a FF 172 '03 plate. However, I bought it 2nd hand, so how can I recognise if it has cup suspension or not?
If I'm being dumb and have missed something plainly obvious feel...
