Another one of my threads. Sorry. But this time it's a Clio :)
They always come back - as they say (or did) on here. After a number of Renaultsports, mainly clios - 1 x clio 1.8 16v, 2 x ph1 172, 1 x 172 Cup, 1 x RS Twingo 133, 1 x R26 Megane - I'm back in an RS Clio again, this time in mk4...
Really confused on the clio mk4 RS iterations. Can someone clear up which model(s) got the updated gearbox software?
They all have the same box, just different software, but you can't map the 'lazier' boxes apparently?
Ph1 came in Sport, Cup and Trophy guises - trophy has the bigger turbo and...
Was so tempted to buy this to clean up and put away, but already done that with the Twingo.
Local to me too so even more tempting.
Stick the original bits back on, get some Renault Turinis and you've got a collectible classic. Even has the OEM rear seats and cat still.#
Bargain (I don't know...
Hi chums.
So its not a clio, but the parts bin 2012 twingo rs.
I've asked in the twingo pages and haven't found a permanent fix yet.
Seeing if the wealth of knowledge in Cs might help seeing as the twingo is effectively the bits left over from the Mk2 clio.
@JamesBryan says the megs are...
So the twingo rs subframe is looking ok apart from the front where its clearly getting the brunt of most of the rain and salt in the roads.
The car is currently on axle stands and this can't be for long. I was going to enlist some help and remove the subframe for powdercoat. But no doubt there...
Not the first time I've had this. But last time it wasn't that drastic.
Anyway, 4 new Goodyear Assymetric 6 tyres bought 2 weeks ago from National tyres (now under Halfords) and had them fitted.
Straight away I could feel them as quite uncomfortable but whatever, I'd made the choice and got...
To ghost or not to ghost?
New car is keyless and I don't want to go through another theft again.
I use a disklok on my car and have cameras etc as well as proper anti snap locks on the house etc.
But, is it worth getting a ghost? Or would that just mean someone is going to break into the house...
This will divide the room.
Brilliant or ridiculous?
I'm in the brilliant camp. Thinking (bullshit bingo jargon) 'outside of the box'. A light weight electric vehicle using materials other than plastic.
Not sure how recyclable plastic coated cardboard is, but kudos to Citroen for trying (I'm...
Tried asking this question on FB and it's just full of morons who give their ill informed opinions, rather than answer the question! So hoping CS has some knowledgeable folk who can give me the answer to this. Not a problem, just a curiousity:
I've got some new non OEM 'uprated' (I know they're...
Any recommendations? This Epson XP-645 is an absolute joke. Always jams, always has faults complete waste of time!
Need something that can scan, PRINT (!) and isn't bad quality - doesn't need to do photo quality.
Reasonable consumables and under £200 really.
Anyone?
Had a set of these ages ago on the megane R26.
Is Mr pink a member on here? Might as well get a set for my mx5 ones if poss.
What exactly is the difference between them and original? A better material?
Hi peeps,
So i've de carpeted and painted the inside of my car and now I have lots of exposed (and paint splashed) wiring, cables etc.
I want to be able to neaten it all up and protect it from getting damaged/caught.
Obvious thing would be to sheathe it with that nylon braided stuff - but...
I've won some wheels on ebay and was agreed to courier them.
Now looking at couriers, they insist on fully enclosed boxes! But where the frig do you buy them from?
Bare wheels sending from Chelmsford to Warrington, BTW.
Can anyone suggest alternative methods or where to buy the boxes to send...
Anyone insured with these guys?
Seems quite good, albeit £100 more on my renewal but includes 6 track days (and limited miles incl track miles).
£70 'new setup' fee seems a bit harsh tho!
Was going to buy myself a decent BT speaker for when I'm in the garage/man cave, the JBL flip 5 was the one I'd wanted.
Now my wife's been given a decent pc monitor that she doesn't want to use, by her work. So I was thinking I could have it in the garage and have a chromecast so I could cast...
Messaged a few last night (Pipewerx, Cybox, Tony Banks etc) but anyone recommend any others around Warrington/Cheshire/Liverpool/Manc?
Had a message back from 'ALG performance' aka C30 Mods as they seem to be more into the Volvos (@McGherkin heard of em?) and they can do one and are local. Seem...
Who's fitted these? I know it's a clio forum, but the more feedback from other cars the better - who actually has a clio on here these days anyway :ROFLMAO:
I expect them to be firm, I'm not daft. But compliance/ride quality? Do they bounce around like mad and smash your head into the roof...
Are the EBC OE spec discs ok? As in, no worse than stock?
I know all the pub tales and horror stories of 'mates' who have had yellowstuff pads fall apart, so don't need to know thanks :)
So OE spec DISCS? Are the EBC ones ok?
Always wondered this, guessing I won't be only one! But after looking at a video on another thread (see below), it got me wondering again, how is watching rallying (and I guess IOM TT) still legal!?
We have seated only sections for football now and all sorts of other health and safety related...
Anyone had any real experience of this brand?
Not 'I had a mate.....' Internet gossip please :)
Bought some steering arms that were cheap, and got them today and look fairly sturdy (need to get my oem off to compare) but wondering if anyone has used this brand before?
Not fussed on bushes or...
So my car hit the tyre wall last week and as a result I'll never get the wing and bumper to match (ballache red), so I'm looking at getting the front end wrapped in some sort of livery style to hide the panel mismatch.
Any recommendations on someone to use? Any famous red liveries to copy (can...
Anyone know much about these?
I'm about to throw it out the window.
Won't do anything - the blue light will come on but that's it. Doesn't link via BT or via USB. Won't update firmware and is totally unresponsive when turning it on or using any of the other buttons.
Thanks
As above. Anyone use one of these cheaper types of tracker?
I have seen a few that are obd port ones but theyre surely too obvious.
Some approved ones are 350 ish fitted with subscription or some less well marketed ebay or amazing style ones that are a lot cheaper.
Anyone use or have...
Just a thought, but how many times can a tyre be fitted/removed/refitted?
With this ongoing skoda wheel buckle saga, when I'm done I think these tyres will have been fitted to 4 different sets of rims!
Is it completely down to the fitter?
Anyone understand the myriad of acronyms etc to be able to recommend me the best 55" ultra HD TV I can currently buy, for under 500?
Whats uled/oled/hdr/etc etc, it's so confusing!!
