just bought the led's to do this conversion but done loads of flatbed stuff before. Decided while the dash was off to get the top cash covered in blue alcantara the same as the seats
hope this looks good, will post pics of the led and the dash
LOL i wish thats was true but mine was the 20v turbo and pushed 380hp and to be honest it would have whipped the clio all day long on cornering with the coilover set up it had
awesome car, still love the clio though cos its so much cheaper to run LOl
Yeh thats exactly the same as mine, it gonna be the bottom tensioner and the aux belt has to be changed. Also hope that the top tensioner dont need replaced. I will post the part numbers tommorrow
Age=26 and pay £800 for insyarnce.
My PH1 172 has a green shift light on the left hand side of the dash, screaming change gear FFS  oh and a alloy bonnet
I thought that was standard on all 172/182
hmmm i had a vw passat and they dont need replaced EVER lol. The tensioner i understand but the bottom pulley shouldnt need replaced though after 60,000 miles :D
starting to hate my 172. Went to renault today to have the bottom tensioner and aux belt fitted and after 3 hours they phoned and told me the top tensioner is also nacked,
total cost of job is £55 bottom tensioner, £25 belt, £200 labour and £154 for top tensioner £434, with nothing to show...
can the airbox from a ph2 172 fit a ph1 172. my mate has the one he took off his car and i need one so hoping it can fit or be made to fit
any help is great
Sounds like the same problem that i had and its the bottom tensioner. Well it was on mine anyway. Mine kinda sounded like a whistling noise but turned out to be the bearing in the tensioner whining but iyts a high pitch whine
Get it checked cos if the seizes it snaps the aux belt which in turn...
thats so nice, i like the look at that. I really will ave to make my mind up about which ones i want. Got 20 days holiday pay coming to me and thats alot of money so got about £1500 to spend on wheels so suggestions would be good
You guys always been right about my other stuff LOL
Clarkies 172 is the nuts, just how i want mine to look. That is scrapping chewing gum off the ground. How low is that ? Mine sits on apex at the mo and not sure what that is
Those super leggera are sex on wheels literally. I have a thing for the super t though i had those on the first car i ever owned, not telling you what that is cos i might aswell hang myself if i did LOL
Yeh the lights are changed on the back but that pic was the day i picked up the car from the garage. Its the only side on view i have LOL
I just ordered clear repeaters and silver vision bulbs and now looking at the wheels
Basically everything you guys said would look good
Would one of you guys be able to shop some wheels onto mycar so i can see which ones i prefer
Im looking at the OZ super T and the OZ super leggera
Would be much appreciated and hope this pic is ok for it. Before anyone says it the back lights are now the ph2 standard ones LOL no lexarse for...
On your advice just bought clear side repeaters and silver visions off e bay so will be on there way. Standard wheels bit harder to source though, fancy some 182 wheels, the anthracite ones look very nice
This car was built by a local motorsport specialist that i didnt even know existed till today and his workshops are less than 1 mile away LOL. Robert Shaw Racing built this from a shell and man does it go. Has a 6 speed sequential box, full cage and race set up
He has now become my dedicated...
The wheels fitted to the car are not standard but there only 15" so its not like im getting tramlined. After inspection i have noticed the the wheels dont have spigot rings and they need them on these wheels to centre the wheel
could this be the problem as i thought this only casued wheel wobble
OK went and had the car tracked and balanced, tyres checked and pressures checked. Bearings are fine and the rack checked for play and these are all fine
Try bushes next eh LOL i love this car, it gives me something to do :D
Nearly s**t myself today, was doing 70 hit a pot hole and the back end wandered all over the road as if the tyres were flat. Checked the pressures and there fine. My thoughts were bushes but the car just had a MOT by the garage i bought it off
What the hell could this be *runs off to buy new...
So you had to file your car to make this fit although it was supplied for your car so really no modifications should have needed to be made
Thats why it shouldnt need played with :D
