Quote from DVLA website:
"How do I transfer my registration mark from one vehicle to another?
To transfer a registration mark from one vehicle to another you will need to complete a V317 - Transfering a Vehicle Registration Number application form. The cost of transfer is £80."
Hope...
Cheers mij,
Was talking to Dave Hemmings on Thursday. He says that he hates this weather because he can't do many repairs unless people have got garages that he can use.
The one with the gay humps is Newchapel Road. Pennyfields road is the one from the little roundabout, up the hill to Newchapel workingmens club at the top (then you turn left for Harriseahead/Mow Cop or turn right for Packmoor)
I live in Newchapel and I've had the Trophy for about a year.
This is why loads of Trophy owners are swapping the standard poverty-spec wiper stalk for one with variable adjustment on the intermittent delay.
The standard intermittent delay on the Trophy is about 2/10ths of a nano-second and the relay clicking drives you mad :banghead:
I live near the Staffs/Cheshire border (near Congleton) and MORETH>N wanted £435 to renew, but I got the quote from confused.com and the cheapest quote was from them (MORETH>N). I then went onto the MORETH>N website and got quoted £310.
I rang them and asked them why the difference and they...
Only 8,000 miles, and I do live in a relatively low-crime area. Thats probably a factor.
Oh, and I am a good 12 years older than you, that probably helps as well.
My £310 was with MORETH>N but I know people who have found them to be high. I think it depends on your driving record really.
I found the quote from confused.com :D
£310 including protected no-claims for my Trophy.
Being a knackered old git does have it's good points :clown:
(If anyone wants to hurl abuse, i'll understand)
I love the way the ad says that the silver trim and Lexus lights were "professionally fitted by Cambridge Renault", as though that makes it any better. :D
Too high in my opinion, but then it is a dealer so I suppose he wants a decent profit. There are cars around with the same mileage selling for a grand less than that.
Whoever bought it the last time it was for sale didn't keep it long. Probably got sick of people hurling abuse at him!
(assuming it did actually sell the last time and this isn't the same person trying again)
There's one on e-bay at the moment with a bid of £10,400 which says "reserve not met" and there's another one here: http://www.allvehicles.co.uk/eo55myk.htm at £11,995, so the price is not bad.
Offer him £11,500 and see what he says.
Baldylocks is right.
The whole point of a spoiler is that it is not aerodynamic. It is there to produce downforce and therefore also produces drag. That is why it is called a "spoiler", because it "spoils" the airflow.
The smaller and shallower it is the less effect it has and is, therefore...
You mean "like the other 550 trophies??"
There were 501 British Trophys, including the pre-production car numbered 000, and there were 50 Swiss Trophys in the end, not 25 as Renault originally announced
(as lee said, everyday's a school day!)
Yes, I know Dave, he sorted my wheel out when I managed to kerb one a few months back. I'm going to be calling on him again shortly after a brick wall attacked my rear bumper today :( The damage is just a scratch really, but it's going to need Dave's touch.
Before the Clio I had a 1.8 Focus...
I've never seen a R5 convertible either, however I found this in Wikipedia:
In 1989, the Belgian company EBS produced a small number of convertible versions of the Renault 5 (1400 in total), almost all of which were left-hand drive. 14 of the 1400 cars produced were based on the GT Turbo Phase...
