White Clio with the above reg, keep seeing it in Witney but have come across it several other places in the county, young brunette driving...
Wonder how much the reg was...
Yeah exactly that's the problem, I was thinking 205's would be a good idea... cheers for the advice Craigus :D
Am I correct in thinking 205/35 for the same rolling radius as 195/40?
Update: actually ignore me 205/40 is the closest to 195/40 :)
Morning all,
What sort of tyres are people running on their Twingo other than the standard ones? I've pretty much had enough of the combination of the original tyres and my mrs, and my wallet isn't too happy about it either!
The original Contisport tyres have a tread narrower than the wheel...
Even if it's an integrated Thatcham-approved system e.g. a Clifford? I thought the system on the whole had to conform to the Thatcham requirements to be stated as such?
Afternoon all,
Has anybody installed the above on their car? I'm considering it, no cheap crap instead something decent e.g. Clifford, but would I have problems insuring the car?
If it's a decent integrated remote start and security system will I have to go any further than telling the...
Cheers guys, yeah that's what I'm planning to do... the fluid was just below max, the pads have at least 5000 miles left in them.
I thought that would be the case with OBD II vs CLIP, at the moment my money is on brake fluid level sensor personally... I'll take it into Renault and see what...
Cheers Mark... those were my thoughts as well, but the fluid isn't low, and pads "getting" low shouldn't start triggering apocalypse-style 90dB beeps and warning messages, mine look like they've got a good 5000 miles left in them :S
What I don't want to do is take it into Renault and be told...
Cheers for replying :) Yeah I thought that but there's no fault logged, laptop says no codes at all :(
Fluid is just under max, didn't want to put any more in... yeah it's under warranty until May so unless I can pin the cause down to something simple or non warranty e.g. pads then I'll be...
Had this once the day I got the car, decided to ignore it unless it happened again but now it has...
First occasion, last Thursday was braking from about 60mph to 5mph over about 150yds down a sliproad, then exited the junction turning left without needing to stop, cue ear-piercing double beep...
Re: Jealous scummy low-life w**kers.
Really gutted for you mate, after it's been so well looked after as well... what a bunch of w**kers :(
Hope it gets sorted without too much hassle and cost to yourself...
Next to own or next to crash? Just the former hopefully, I've now had a total of ONE accident in my life and intend to keep it that way...
Yeah I picked up a Deep Black R26 from Allvehicles yesterday, will post a thread about that too in due course, loving it so far :approve: Have sent you a PM...
How did you hear about that?! LOL...
Yeah I'm fine I'll post a thread about it at some point, was only a 15mph impact if that, didn't even set off any airbags, pretensioners or trigger the fuel cut-off. Was just a really small overlap that smashed through the plastic bumper totally missing the...
Cheers I have already said that to him, we'll see what happens... he's also found some Autodata info on a Megane for a similar prob, which mentions taking some fuses out and fitting a shunt across two of them :S
Apparently he took it off to drop the engine down, to do the cambelt... as we all...
E-mailed. I wonder what percentage of the effected models are owned by CS members... presumably we can figure out how many Clios are on here and how many are out there overall, and work it out.
If we can show Renault that there are over 400 problem wheels amongst only 0.5% of the cars or...
I can't believe something manifesting itself in such a severe manner hasn't been found when someone with at least half a clue has examined the car...
Also if it's that violent and you can barely hold onto it I'd stop deliberately triggering it before you actually crash? LOL...
Afternoon all,
Just had a call from a mate of mine who's done the cambelt on a 182 for someone and in the process taken the rack off to drop the engine down, it's all back together and driving fine, no sensor connections have been disturbed etc. and he's thoroughly checked everything but when...
Very nasty crash :(
Having seen more than my fair share of smashed up cars and people, she's very lucky to be alive! In my experience she's probably yet another person who was helped out by the type of seat she's sat in, during a side impact...
Hope she makes a good recovery and isn't put off...
Same here :)
That's cool, yes that's Ian, he works at Jaybee where Tony used to work as well until relatively recently.
What was the fuel guzzler? Due to all the Botley Rd and Toll Bridge queueing I do I'm lucky to get 27-28mpg out of a tank :(
There's not a lot in it until silly speeds between a lot of those cars, there's a little t**t near me who drives his Corsa VXR like a moron and crashed his last car nearly killing two people but still hasn't changed his driving, and he always sails past people at 100+ thinking he's "won", which...
Late reply but the Trophy may well have been me, was it on the Eynsham side of Oxford? I'd either have been heading home from a day shift or in for a night...
Ah ok that makes sense... you won't see me all the time is I work 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off... so sometimes you'll see me going one way, and sometimes the other, or not at all :)
Yes I know Nick, he's the service guy at my dealer of choice (where my mate Ian is a salesman) and I used to work with...
