    1*2's being Broken !

Any car that needs paint is dead... "been quoted £200 to paint the front end" in a sales advert doesn't fool anyone.. If a 1*2 looks clean, it's still got the belts and road tax r@pe to deal with. Crack on I say, makes the value on mine go up.

    Cars are snitches now.

https://www.wheels-alive.co.uk/eu-plans-to-restrict-repairs-on-older-vehicles/ Cars have time bombing repairs on them, but us lot find a way to keep them on the road cheaper. Here comes Europe to cut home/diy mechanics hands off... Uneconomical mechanical repairs + age = scrap

Water waste of a day (pump and dephaser)

I forgot to change the water pump doing the belts once... Finished the job and the water pump was sat there looking lonely. The next 4-5 years I lived in fear.

Tyres x 4, What we Recommending these days??

A mate still slings hoops and said more and more tyres fail early. Planned obsolescence.. Use em or lose em.

Tyres x 4, What we Recommending these days??

Outside, the sun and heat cycles kill them... I used to work at a tyre garage years back, Michelins have always cracked early, but boy do they eat miles.. The clio almost covered 30k on a set.. Loads of tyres crack early, I just pulled some toyos off as they were dead after 4-5 years, loads...

Tyres x 4, What we Recommending these days??

The Michelins on mine have cracked and rotted out long before they were due, probably 6mm left all round. 4-6 years, they die of old age.

    Daily dci

Are you familiar with the back yard solution to De-lip them brake drums? Bolt a 1/2 extention in a vice, slightly up at an angle, spin the drum on it and gently insert angle grinder with flapper wheel or grinding wheel. 4.8million rpm later and the lip is gone. Take 60 seconds.

Will I be able to break the bead on a car tyre?

Well yeah, it just has to save me and the fam some money.. Got patches for punctures, that'll save £20 when it happens. Ive got tracking gauges also, done a few on all the motors.. The problem is tyre disposal, but I just sling them into a farmers field or leave them piled up in a quiet...

Will I be able to break the bead on a car tyre?

Automotech £1250 with a balancer, but you need a compressor also, which I had. Then some lever bars, valves, valve puller, weights etc. I've done tons of tyre swapping for myself, then 4 new on mine, a new spare on mine, 4 new on my old dears, 4 new on my uncles, 4 new on my aunties, 4 on...

Will I be able to break the bead on a car tyre?

When the bead is corroded, they normally spin a wire wheel around to knock off all the crusty paint and slap some bead sealer on like you said they have. If they're still leaking, it might be time to strip and paint the bead properly (at home) or have them powder coated. It can get a bit...

Will I be able to break the bead on a car tyre?

There are manual tools and back in the day you could beat off an 80 profile tyre.. But no. You'll never do it with a modern tyre without making it worse

    Power Tool Perverts

I looked closer at the pics and I'm sure they said brushless. Perhaps the poster of said deal didn't get his facts correct. Id make sure if I was buying. My milwakeeee drill impact set was like £450 many many years ago, so everything seems cheap to me. My drills the heavy duty brushed one...

As cheap as these get I think.. 5ah batteries, charger, impact, drill, in a box.. I don't think they get much cheaper than that deal.

    Gaming/office chair

I got one of the office chairs off amazon, they're all the same but dressed up. it's like sitting on a wooden stool. I put a spare pillow on the tushie area.. It's uncomfortable, offers no support in any way shape or form. I use it to play on puter for an hour here or there, so it'll do. ...
