I've been following Graham's guide for the cruise control. I've managed to do all of it with the exception of one thing:
I've added the pins to my existing squib connector for the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel, but i'm not sure if these should be wired up to the following parts...
Got myself a real old school Herbrand hub puller on gumtree, it removed the disc in about 1 minute!
if anyone in the Birmingham area finds their rear discs are seized onto the stub axle then give me a shout
One of my rear discs is stuck on real nice, the other side came off fine.
Before i part with £30, does anyone have a hub puller I could borrow/rent in Birmingham?
Would anybody with Dialogys or the renault computer be able tell me the part number for rear brake discs and pads for 2004 dCI 100??
They are the ones with the bearings and 44 tooth ABS rings on.
This is the code from the articles sections Mk 2 2 Dynamic 100dci 3dr K9K 712 JR5 CB2G05
I can pm...
I'm not sure this is original though, I have 4 normal nuts on all the other wheels, its like this one has been left on cus they dont have the bit to remove it.
Just wondering if anyone has a bit that matches so they could undo it for me...i've got a spare normal wheel nut ready to go on
This was the locking wheel nut bit i got when i bought the car a couple of weeks ago, but It doesnt fit, just spins, does anyone in the midlands have a bit that would fit in this nut so i can change it over for a non locking nut?
It's the only locking wheel nut on the car and I'm gonna be doing...
Cheers Tom, I'm gonna pick up some new discs for my dremmel tonight, I'll slice it along the middle and see what that does, I can slide a hacksaw blade under to protect the wires
Could someone kindly tell me the best place to pry this tin can scum bag, so i can throw it away and get on with my life?!?!
Ps, its looking a little knackered cus i've been attacking it alot, but nothing is releasing it!
...another ecu cover topic
I've managed to losen off the cover but i just cant work out how to free it, it seems to be catching on something, it moves side to side freely.
Before i get the hacksaw, has anyone got any other ideas?
Thanks Graham,
I've had a look but I cant seem to see any connectors like that anywhere near by, perhaps I dont have the loom for the cruise control.
Can i just buy this part of the loom and plug it in or is it more complicated?
Is this the cruise control panel connector that is tucked behind the blanked panel? (on my 2004 dci 100)
I've had a quick look and I have the clutch switch installed too, does this mean i'm probably gonna have the extra connector on my steering squib?
Its been a while
I've got hold of a cheap 2004 dci 100, but its got a pretty big squeak when operating the clutch.
Am i right in thinking these have hydraulic clutches? if so, if this noise is caused by a dry shaft on the clutch master cylinder can I just lube it or is it likely to fail...
You'd have to run it past the RSPCA, but i think the cats reflective eyes would have shown up in that video, unless its was a sleeping cat....bad day for felix and evidently the police will stop at nothing these days
Lol, Yeah, i know what you mean :p
Cheers! I've always wanted an RB after passing one everyday for years, i was lucky enough to have the day off and get out to see the car as soon as it went up on autotrader, was a bit of a road trip but well worth it!
I do have the Ktec but i think i'll keep...
Also changed the steering wheel over from a melted down one to a much tidier example and fitted aero wipers and silver-visions before i started this thread
Looking at getting some new mats, fitting my alpine head unit and sourcing a centre cap for one of my wheels which is peeling a bit, but...
Today whilst enjoying the start of the long weekend i had a crack at trimming my dash inserts with alcantara, not really a match to the seats but i think it looks a lot tidier, especially as this was my first attempt, i might do them again if i can find some darker material, but my originals...
....so i changed the centre section to a silenced one but that still didnt do the trick for me, so i changed to a OEM system which i bought from is1
It might not be too popular round here, but i dont really care lol, the OEM system i got was in top condition and should last a long time and...
I thought i'd start a project thread for my car, I dont have any massive plans for it, more to just keep a record of what i've done
Heres more or less how i bought it:
While i liked the sound and look of the supersport K-tec exhaust it wasnt doing my ears any favours on long trips which...
