*epic sad face*
I recently sold the Chameleon. I hadn't really planned to, but as I got offered double what it cost me I couldn't say no.
Got something else arriving soon LOL!
Also, still looking for wheels, ffs.
I'd love to get an old skool Alpine next. Something like a 7894RB or maybe even a 7998R if I can find one that's less than £200 lol.
Currently looking at a 9815RB, it's a bit more recent than I'd like but it has all the bells 'n' whistles.
Yup, model number's on the video. KD-LX555R. ;) It may be for sale soon depending what happens.
Thanks for the kind words.
Tom, these are the style I went to look at. Not the later ones that everything seems to be running on if those are what you thought?
Yeah, 2.4 30v.
Wheels: Looked at some RS4 reps local but they were mis-matched so that fell through. I'm not really sure what to get, so I'm looking around often to see what I fancy.
It's stupid how many symptoms a bolloxed CTS can cause. My last car literally was un-drivable when it got up to operating temp because of it. Misfiring, cutting out, running rough. Considering the low price and ease of replacement it's one of those things that should be replaced as par for the...
Sure. 3 photo's taken on a tripod. One with the foreground correctly exposed, another with the mid-ground and t'other with the background/sunset.
Exposure blended together and then other jiggery pokery to get it looking natural but enhanced.
No filters.
Just warm water. Let it go for a couple minutes, then work all the buttons, then let it go until the water goes cold.
Just found some wheels on eGay, and they're in my town. Winning!
Climate control had a bath (sticky/unresponsive buttons)
New, yet old skool, headunit:

Wheels are in the pipeline. MOT tomorrow so "s**t's gonna get real" after that.
Threw a bucket of water over it and deep cleaned the wheels a couple days ago.

Also fitted some £5 eGay special bulbs for main beam. Was expecting them to be piss poor, but they actually match the HID's great. :D
Do not want... Oh wait!
Do not have. ;)
When I first fitted them on the car it must have been dropped about 120mm and the coils still had about 45mm of thread left on them.
The car was only telling you that it needed an oil change...
Can you get low profile sumps for these? Either way I'd fabricate a guard of some description. Road sign if you're pikey. ;)
Yeah true. I'm surprised my drive shafts didn't hit the chassis when we first fitted the suspension. Never checked the clearance though, could have been a couple mm for all I know.
That's crazy considering they're on coils! A lot of cars that you see parked running air/juice aren't that low!
Really gotta get some underside protection made up for mine now lol.
No need to shout. ;) Isn't my fault you were silly and didn't take them off before fitting them lol.
I was thinking about taking the bump stops off as well. Decided I'd let the coils bed in for a month or two before I went down that route though.
I hai thar update!
I raised it last week before I fit some kind under side protection and drop it further, so it currently looks like this, it's only slight but enough to now be practical on local roads.
These arrived:
So from this:
To this:
My new awesome friend: (built not...
Raised it now about 30mm or so. Happily it's drivable, but now it looks no where near as awesome. :(
I just don't earn enough money to fix things when I bang them in to speedbumps etc.
Epic!
I'll take another photo tomorrow from underneath. And then I'll be raising it as it's currently rubbing something on the camber of the road.
Potholes can damage wheels, lowered car or not.
Why not? Surely having a family would make it a family car. It's actually classed as a small executive saloon, I'll have you know. ;)
I have some sets of wheels lined up in the next couple weeks for test fitting.
LOL! The coilovers are bedding in now so it's getting lower again. I'm gonna have to raise it tbh. Roads around where I live are awful so it's fairly ridiculous. Any sort of speed bump is a no-go as it beaches on the sills.
How it currently stands:
