Another Clio 172 to Elise owner here, great choice. I went with the S2 111R, daily driven it for three years, as well as many track days and european jaunts, proving fantastically reliable and offering year round roof off fun.
The Elise, having owned an S1 prior to it, was the only car I could...
I have had both too - a Monaco 172, glorious car, then bought my second elise, a 111R in Tittystorm!! - yep great combo. Just had a fantastic run back over the south downs in mine, roof off, 2nd cam. You just can't beat it....until the supercharger conversion....
/must resist/
This is what you are after...Monaco on 182 anthracites....

I was in my elise travelling between Lancing and Brighton on the A27...you may be wondering why I slowed down as you came up behind me at the tunnel, as you roared on through....the newly installed speed cameras....:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Enjoyed the rest of our run though.
LOL ! What were you thinking with those LED's? and that bloody great logo on the back window as well, go buy yourself a saxo.:banghead:
You are singlehanded dragging down the Renaultsport name.
Alpine iDA-X100 is 100 times better for iPod access, the Pioneer is not a patch on it. The Alpine bluetooth unit fits behind the dash anyway, so still a one fit.
normal stereo with no cd slot, just shows a full colour screen, exactly the same as your iPod screen. Put iPod in the glovebox, and use the stereo as if it were the iPod. Immediate track selection, no delay etc.
It is the business, I have the original iDA-X001, never looked back, just update...
They did'nt come as standard, but the holes in the carpet did, so they could fit the unit if you paid for it!
Time for an Alpine iDA-X100 upgrade http://www.audio66.com/product.asp?id=5809&cat=26&man=1&main=1&userid=&firstsel=man&variation= - forget CD's, they just clutter the place up. £210...
