Used to look forward to the price list magazine being posted. Remember kids, this pre-dated the mainstream internet, so the 'ol Post was the only way you found out the cost of stuff. ;)
That membership would have been from my Amiga days as well as I didn't switch over to the PCMGR until late '92.
Speaking of old games - people on here of a certain vintage will remember this place from back in the day.... ;)
Came across my old membership card during a clear-out at the weekend.
Simple 'trick' on that. Don't use the main gun - it's too powerful with burst fire and a little erratic for that mission.
I killed some goon, and just picked up his standard pistol, walking through that level doing single shots where necessary.
Looks a good alternative that!
I remember several years back when mine mysteriously 'disappeared' after a visit to a Renault dealership. Managed to pickup a replacement on here for £20, that's still fitted underneath to this day.
I think they went through a phase of being unpopular on here...
The CSL pedals support both DD hub connectivity and USB connection straight to the PC. In fact, the latter is the only way that you can update the firmware on the pedal base. Don't connect both at the same time however, or else you can damage the unit.
That's ridiculous that the DD is still...
Btw - if no one noticed on this game, there are a couple of options in the Settings that can be toggled on or off.
One is for the main character to be immortal - even though her health bar continues to decrease when hit. The second is to kill enemies with one shot from any of her guns. Useful...
You should be alright with that mate.
The Fanatec software controls the wheel hub, the pedal base and any auxiliary items like the shifter and a handbrake.
It's entirely possible using that software to just have it for the pedal base alone. I did that previously when I had a set of Fanatec CSL...
And that's where Paypal completely and utterly fails beyond comprehension.
They do not listen. They do not try to help. They do not offer realistic choices.
I would rather deal with Fanatec for another 5 years than to speak to Paypal for the next 5 days. They retained over £30k of my work's...
Yeah - self-repairing vehicles is turd.
More so as you say - when engineers can hang out of helicopters and pretty much make a chopper invulnerable. Many stupid times we played with BF:BC2 where tracer darts were redundant as the chopper pilot simply dropped smoke to render them useless, and...
The cardinal sin they made was to give the vehicles unlimited ammo.
Again, BF2142 incorporated some very clever pros & cons into the vehicle pool, some 18 years ago. It seems as the iterations of BF move forward - they forget some of the mechanics that made that title in particular, so good...
Now I'm actually a fan of the distinct class system - one that goes back to the very first BF1942. It makes you think about how you're going to play as soon as you spawn. It makes you actively want to support other team-mates where your kit is an advantage.
I really don't like the one-man-army...
If you think that's bad - the current UI crown of utter shite for an FPS, has to go to Ghost Recon - Break Point.
It's like each section was designed by a different dev team. But to appease the teams and keep them all sweet - the dev manager just said 'yes' to every suggestion and feature that...
So, three years late to the party and quite frankly, this game is superb. It battered my GTX1080 when I first got it - played well on my 3070Ti and with the latest step-up to a 3090 - it looks and plays amazing.
The combat is great - almost like a finely tuned balance between holding back and...
This was my gearbox after 165k when I had it refurbed. And that only happened really as one of the driveshafts went pop and damaged the gearbox in the process.

If you look after them (like most things) - they tend to last. :)
I've got two of the HTC Vive sensors currently mounted on small camera tripods, that do an OK-ish job at tracking the headset.
However, I'm more interested in mounting them permanently to the wall(s).
What have other people used in terms of brackets or wall-mounts previously? I believe that...
Welcome!
That's a nice, low mileage for a 20+ year old car.
I'll sound like a broken record on here! But if you're handy doing your own work, I would strongly recommend swapping out your gearbox oil too. It was a night & day difference on mine when it got done at the 12k service, all those...
Has that not simply popped off?
Mine did it once when we had a day of extreme cold. Went to de-ice my windscreen the following morning - heard a small clunk and the passenger side wiper blade simply didn't move.
Pretty sure it was that section that you show that had detached itself. Get a bit...
