Did mine a few weeks ago, as said its fiddly you dont need to take the bumper off despite what everybody says, you can easily access the removal of the alternator just by removing the grill
Just done this myself 4 weeks ago and no need to remove the bumper plenty of room with only removing the black grill, removing the bumper wont improve the access and saves a lot of time also use jubilee clip much easier, I bought a snap on serpentine rachet tool no use at all
If the rear brakes are much the same as the 182, i recently had the same prob. in the end i removed the caliper from the car and unscrewed the piston anticlock wise to get it as far out as possible and then rescrewed it clockwise and it went all the way back in. hope this helps
Sorry if this sounds daft, but i'm doing a rear caliper overhaul on my 182 is it ok to use a hose clamp on the rubber flex hose close to the caliper or some other place?
Used the car today after 3 wks and bleeped 3 times when opened. When locked the alarm went off and the LED light flashes 3 times which I think is the volumetric sensor being activated. Tried this four times and always the same also the central locking light stays on all the time, now thinking...
Took the GF car for mot today (1.6 RT 1999) and tester pointed out that the hazard switch works with ignition on but does't work with it switched off? Any Ideas?
Have recently fitted a set within the last two months so not got much miles on them. The most noticeable thing is they dont half give a harsher ride than the PE2 suppose cos they're track orientated. really good in the wet also
Rummaging around the engine today found that the breather pipe from the inlet manifold had come off god knows how long its been off. Any ideas if its going or has done any damage to the engine internals? Bit worried now
That is totally out of order. Get the persons name who worked on the car show the evidence before and after and deal with the Managering Director only.
Will be using Klasse all in one and Klasse sealant for winter prep and topping off with Jeffs AGT in between washes. Good thing with Jeffs is that u can use it on all surfaces
Does anybody know of any tyre places in cardiff area that will fit tyres that i got off the internet? Got Hankook trackday tyres and nobody will fit them saying its company policy to fit tyres only supplied by them!!
Thanks Rich thought it was that turtle wax wet'n wax stuff! excellent advice as usual and now use microfibre waffle by sonus which is so much better than chamois thanks to reading your replies
From reading some of your threads have noticed some of you use QD spray when drying. Can u shed some light on this tecnique and what products do u use and recommend?
