is there anyway without measuring to see what size front arb bushes are fitted?
Markings or part numbers on the arb?
Powerflex list 2 sizes of inner and outer bushes... knowing my luck the ones i purchased are the wrong size

Does the metal frame inside the dash actually need to be kept to brace the steering column mount?
Ive cut away some of the passenger side, just keeping the bits the lower dash mounts on. I notice the drivers side section...
seam to of found a decent alternative to powerflex back bushes

Not anymore. Had same convo with them. Apparently they have supplied loads of the ph2 ones and had no issues on 172/172cup/182s

other than to give the lower dash somewhere to mount to.... does the metal dash frame actually do much.
I know it bolts up to the steering column mount but does it give that much actual support?
I am still running a dash, be it with a very stripped down and lightened lower section

Ive got vibratechnics engine mounts and an evol dogbone already, and powerflex purple arb bushes as they came up cheap.. fitted but unused
On epas so no rack bushes for me... modified the dci rack mount one end so its got a 3rd mounting bolt rather than the standard 2 on that rack

Already got cup wishbones... and new ball joints. So may just get a good oe set of bushes then
Remember an old design of powerflex bushes wearing the subframe badly
I think some of the polybush reviews are based on the placebo effect a new set of bushes is bound to give. Oe will most likely...
Im at the stage in my build that i need to decide on suspension bushes. When I removed the rear axle the rubber fell out the rear bushes leaving just the metal case in the beam. Fronts too are in need of replacement

Already have wheels and tyres. Used m1155 in the 106 and was impressed so sounds good choice again at that price

Im not a trackday novice as such... but will be in the clio. Had a well sorted 106 before, but this is a whole new learning curve specing for track
Eg... front springs on the 106... 200lb lol!
The clio needs new suspension anyways... EVERYTHING else (trackrods,bushes,rod ends ect ect) is...
Just personal preference, prefer full coilover. Will be fitting a pms axle stiffening kit so want to fit it all and not leave bits out just to keep the spring platform
Also... dont know if I am Searching wrong but i dont seam to find alot of threads about problems with any brand of coilover...
That spring rating has come from gaz... maybe they uprated the gha now :confused:
Clicked that link... in the info it says the max rate for the rear is 650lb
