Spent 90 mins tonight cleaning and waxing a front wheel and cleaning the wheel arch... only three more wheels to do :-/ !!! It's not at anywhere near 100% clean but it way better than what I started with!
Finally (after owning mine since the 29th of Dec) gave the old girl a good clean inside and out... rapid detailer is a must have in anyone's clean car kit bag! Although now I've noticed more little scratches :-(
I agree with Christopher. Drove my brothers 182 ff cup and that was a wicked car but the interior was shocking and it was a pretty cheaply put together car. The 200 seems much better built but still go kart fun!
Hi Tom! I'm also new to 200 ownership having got mine in December. I can't help with the questions apart from be thankful you also mentioned the whining sound on start up. I thought it would be solved when i had the cambelt changed!
Apart from that's a great little car!
@DS197.
Thanks! I do have the electric adjustable ones so maybe that's an upgrade to think about. How much does it cost to replace with electrically folding mirrors?
I didn't know they also had a worse standard of steering wheel! TBH if you like the car (the colour is very nice) I reckon you could knock a decent amount off. I paid 7200 for my 09 black ff 200 with the cup pack and recaros with 31k on the clock at the end of December.
I reckon you could find...
It should be a cup model as its only got the analogue air con and not the digital air con. The other 'tells' are if you test drive it and the suspension is incredibly firm/the springs should have (if memory serves) yellow and green dots on. There is a thread on that somewhere here
The racing blue 197 spotted in Tunbridge Wells on Sandhurst road driving toward the Robin Hood pub today around 12.30.
The stunning Black Gold V6 I saw on St Johns Road by Richer Sounds around 3ish Saturday....
On a non Clio spot I saw that dog ugly Bentley 4x4 thing on the Knights Park...
Today I finally had some time to clean my car after buying it at the end of December! I thought I'd concentrate on the interior today and do an outside detail when the days are longer. Hoovered, cleaned and treated the interior with some vinyl care. I also managed to clean some stains out of the...
Could well be up for this. Just got my first Clio end of December and once I've finished paying it off I'd love to save for a ktech stage one remap and arka exhaust so it would be interesting to see what she has at the moment! I've never done a rolling road before. Anything mechanically I need...
Interesting thread. I ran a e39 m5 for 2.5 yrs got rid of it last September and got a Clio 200 a few weeks ago. The amount of money an m5 costs to run is just savage. For the bang for ya buck I don't miss the m5 and that Megane is even better so go for it!
So judging by the date on the posts I'm very late to the party, but bought my first Clio RS just over a week ago, and I'm based in Tunbridge Wells. Driving a black 200 ff with cup and recaro packs. Hello if anyone is out there?!
Hi. About 575/600 for the cambelt kit/aux belt kit and water pump kit plus refill and bleed of coolant. Renault twells quoted me 800 or 900 if the crankshaft pulley needs doing which is super rare apparently on the 200's.
