Cheers for replying, I've been thinking about it and the 'u' clamp on the picture of the new system above is that doing anything? Is it holding what is effectively that extension tube in place?
I've not even got under the car yet but can someone clear this up for me please.
Here is the standard what looks like 'v' clamp from cat to centre section.
Here is the janspeed centre section that replaces it.
I don't think I'm being an idiot but can someone explain (or reassure me)...
Thanks again.
It appears k-tec are the cheapest for the janspeed cat back. £330
Think the standard cat is in ok condition ( is it made from different steel to the rest of the system?)
I'd appreciate some help please.
I'm not a regular on here and I'm sure it's been asked before but.....
My wife has a 182 and the exhaust has cracked and pretty much rotted.
She doesn't want a loud exhaust, close to OE as possible.
Would a yozza stealth system suit?
How much are they?
Thanks
Happened for the first time today, i'll see tomorrow.
Was going to disconnect the battery for 30 mins but seeing as this thread appears to point to the problem i didn't bother.
This has happened today on my wifes 182.
CV boot was changed a while ago as it had split. Just checked and they are fine.
Also pads and discs were changed earlier this year, again this was a while ago but i'll check the fluid level!
Can anyone point me to the "how too" guide so i can look at...
It cuts to the point of causing the car to actually slow down.
A gear change to speed up and everything is fine.
I'll keep an eye on it, possible drive the car a bit more often. There is a euro car specialist nearby i might drop in on the way home and ask their opinion.
Right there is a definate problem then as this "power loss" in 5th at low revs, possibly below 2500rpm has happened on more than one occasion.
The temp guage does rise to the middle and never budges from there.
Sounds like there could be a problem with the temp sensor.
Thanks guys.
I'll try again.
Whilst i have your attention i also noticed whilst seemingly cold if you are in fifth at, what the cars deems too low revs, if you try and accelerate the power cuts forcing you to change down.
Is this a self preservation act as well. Knock protection?
This...
I've never noticed it before.
As it's my wifes car i asked her and the obvious answer was "i have no idea what you are talking about"
I tried twice, once in 2nd then in 3rd and both times it hit this 6750 ish invisible wall.
Fault code reader the way forward?
LOL
Cheers guys.
It was warm had covered 30 miles on a motorway prior to limiter bouncing!!!
Is it a temperature thing or a time thing.
Obviously controlled by the ecu, is it possible that it is not cutting off this "reduced revs" mode at all???
Hi guys
My wife has an 05 clio 182.
I was driving it the other day and noticed that the limiter kicks in about 6750 ish where as the red line on the dash clearly starts around the 7250 mark.
The car pulls strong to the seemingly premature limiter. Is this normal or does it seem to be...
Cheers :)
Not the end of the world if i don't find out who owned it.
Missus is after a 182 in that blue so my search is pretty narrow and proving more difficult than i thought.
Hi
I'm looking for a 182 for my missus. The car we went to see tonight was a full fat 182 in blue see below
I noticed the cliosport.net sticker in the window and was wondering if anyone knows who owned it before.
The car has a scorpion exhaust, brand new discs and pads up front...
