Well after another day, The car is back on the road. No problems as such :) re did the timing as i wasnt 100% sure with this and car now runs fine, no hickups on the way home. Keeping the revs quite low for now going to run it in slowly and hopefully it will remain trouble free.

Hi, question for f4r specialists.
Ive lined the cams up with the genuine renault tool, but the inlet pulley is 180 degrees out ( The mark is at the bottom instead of the top ) Yet the pulley has never been off of the cam.
Tried it with the pulley mark at the top where it should be but the cams...
The timing was correct when it was put back together, the car ran fine for days of testing in the garage. this is just what info i got given from the engine guys who did the repair work originally. all the tensioners were replaced too, this is why im scratching my head a bit as the work was done...
