Just on a slightly different note, have you been in touch with your insurance company?
With such a highly grouped car they might not even cover you for street parking. All depends on your postcode.
The strip at the bottom is just clear glass, as the rest of the W/screen is anti-UV coated.
It needs to be clear for their toll sensors to work, same as any GPS devices we fit over here e.g. speed camera detectors.

Not saying its no good, just when they make claims like that it makes me suspicious.

Try this, 10 samples of whatever you fancy.
Square at bottom of screen isn't the sensor.
Its just a clear portion of screen to let things like GPS units work, as the rest of the screen has an anti-UV coating.
The sensor is at the top of the screen behind the mirror.
Its SUPPOSED to vary the sensitivity, never makes any difference on mine.
On cars without auto feature it alters the delay between wipes on intermittent.
Auto H/Lights, dont like them. Go under a bridge they come on, come out from under a bridge they stay on. Go to a garage for petrol, pull up under the canopy they come on, drive away they stay on.
Just another gimmick thats going to cost money at some time in the future. I mean, how hard is...
Couldn't agree more.
People going on about making it lighter as though its going to be easy to lose 100kg, and make it cheaper at the same time.
This time it hasn't got xenons to lose, the car doesn't come with them to start with.
I cant see them losing A/C, not when everyone else is...
So looking at the extra's thats over £1,600 on top of the £16,000 mrp.
Hope you got a good discount.
Dont want to put a damper on the 'new car' thing but when you can get a Meg 225 cup for less than £14,000 i wouldn't be paying £17,600 for a clio.
But thats just me.
What cup?
People keep assuming there is going to be a cup.
There is no equipment in the 197 they can afford to leave out to make it lighter.
I cant see them taking A/C out, i could be wrong, they cant take ABS out, they could put recaro's in as standard to save some weight but that...
People keep going on about 'cup' versions.
How are they going to make a 'cup' version. The basic car now has bugger all equipment in it.
What are they going to leave off to make it lighter?
Maybe. But unless you actually stand over them there's no guarantee i suppose.
I did ask to see the empties when i went back, and got what was left back as well.
Still, £64 for 24 litres of Elf Exellium, and it saves £60 per service.
