Parked a couple of cars up from you in the car park (In a bright Orange Cooper S) and given that there was a cliosport sticker in the window I thought I might as well see if you are still on here. Also its the first tophy Ive actually seen in living memeory, so that was nice
I would agree with you except it is only happening to 172s and 182s - At the same time I got quotes for an NB MX5, Legacy 2.5 and a Volvo S60 T5, in all of these cases insurance quotes are the same today as they were two months ago
Yeah, saying it happened overnight was a bit inaccurate of me, wasn't really thinking about it when I posted this. Even so, for the prices to double when nothing has changed in only a month seems ridiculous. I'll give admiral a call to get a quote from them (they had the cheapest quote last...
Hi there,
For the past month or so I've had my eye on a certain 182 currently for sale in the cars for sale section. A month ago when i did a quick insurance quote on go compare (for a general idea, nothing set in stone yet) the quotes came in at just under the £1k mark (20yo guy working in a...
Sorry, its justr a 1.2 16v (D4F engine), there is a second pipe, presumable a breater pipe attached to the airbox as well though. Is it something I need to fix, or am I alright just leaving it?
I've been fiddling around with bits of my engine and .I;ve found a coating of oil in my air filter box, and what looks to be a fairly decent amount impregnated into the air filter itself. Does anyone know what the cause could be? A quick search online has told me that my car is likely to blow up...
Looks great, personally i r4eally like how the car sits on those wheels, and overall i think it looks great in that colour too!
My family (mum in particular) has had Minis for as long as I've been alive, and if you want to relocate the speedo with OEM parts, look for a dual guage cluster off...
DId the black one you saw have a roof rack? I drive the opposite direction to one every single day on the way to work (near hockley heath), but a previous spotted thread yeilded nothing :/
Looks really nice, especially that beading! Im also jelous of your ability to do a non-sport to 172 body swap so easily, the problem with my car is unless i get the panels resprayed, i need to wait for someone to break a Trophy thanks to the colour :/
Out of interest, is the halogen to xenon...
I couldn't quite tell from the video - is the engine trying to turn over at all? If it isn't i would just try a new battery all together, since that one could be faulty, even if it seems to be holding charge
Firstly, just to let you know, this thread is from 2011, so it might have been easier just to start a new thread :P
Anyway, i believe this is what he was linking to:

Sitting behind this at the lights a week or two ago, couldn't believe my eyes! Not the best car I've ever seen in the wild, but the best I've actually got proof of seeing!
These ones were the best I could dig up, maybe you could trace them to make an actual vector image? Other than that I thin you might be on your own mate :/
Thanks for all the help, I took it out yesterday with family following, and after about an hour there was no sign of any smoke, and no overheating. Imgoing to assume I was just worrying too much! As for the 20k miles, the previous owner (until mid-2015) was an 80-year-old lady who said that she...
I'll take it out for a longer journey later today. After the oil was replaced i drove it for probably about an hour to check for any leaks, but beyond that it is only really doing 4 mile journeys. Anything I should be looking out for during the drive, beyond the typical head gasket related symptoms?
Hey there,
Whilst doing an oil change on my '02 ph2 1.2 16v a week ago, I noticed some build up of mayonnaise around the oil filler cap. Since the car has only 20k miles on it, i kind of assumed that it was just condensation build up because of small journeys throughout the car's life, so I...
Looking great so far, I always enjoy the 1.2 builds in particular since I haven't tweaked with mine at all! Seeing the full interior done with The Renault Sport stuff is nice to see as well, and really tempting...
Hey there, last night i noticed a really clean looking silver 182 outside parked Tescos in Dorridge yesterday evening. I saw a Clio-Sport sticker intheh rear window and was just wondering if it was someone off here! I've forgotten the plate, but i think it was a 6 character long personalised one
The best part of it was the old lady who I got it off only wanted £1500 for it despite only having 10k miles and garaged nightly! Its occurred to me that I actually have an old Cooper S shorty hiding in my garage somewhere, I think I'm going to see if that fits
Definitely going to be following this, I got a 2002 Capsicum red 1.2 a year and a month for my first car (and to learn in, but I also spent £24/hour on top for an instructor, worth it just to avoid 'clashing' with my parents behind the wheel for me!) Not done any mods to it so far (I 'd feel...
Well I'm not looking to sell, but im still interested in finding out...
52 Reg 1.2 16v 3 door Clio (5MT), garaged all its life, 16k miles, just passed MOT without any advisories, no modification, perfect condition, running on 4 Pirelli P1 brand new tires.
I bought it of an old lady for £1000 6...
