During training I noticed control braking are strong at over 30 KPH when the wheel rotates around a full circle in both directions just refuses to halt the vehicle, there is almost a sense of ABS stopping me completely braking and only at the speed drops below 23 KMH full containment.
Is it...
alright, it is time for money to go to the bin - i'm gonna order parts and let a garage that i trust do the work.
i did a full timing job (except for the dephaser) about a year ago, so water pump is new, also - aux belt and tensioner have been just replaced recently.
can anyone help me with a...
bumping this - happened to me today, key worked when i parked, didn't work 3 hours later.
starts fine, it's just the button that doesn't work.
led flashes, so it's not battery.
is this fixable or do i need to get a new key?
Thanks diagro, i'll make sure.
Typhoon- u won't belive the prices here.
Just a quick example:
Pair of genuine front shocks for the ph1: 600 pounds.
Crankshaft pulley: 300 pounds.
List goes on...
Buying it in the uk and shipping oversees will cost me roughly half of what it would cost here.
Hi Cub,
i'm not in the uk (and not in europe), and it'll cost quite a bit more.
so yeah i'm asking. You are right that i lack experience, but i have done almost everything on my own so far and havent caused too much damage, it is my first car (had bikes before).
Anyways, i believe that if i...
Hi, a year ago i changed the timing belt and tensioner on my ph1, but being an Idiot i neglected the dephaser.
no the car is "dieselish" at low rpm - and i think the dephaser's life is coming to an end.
Can the dephaser be changed on it's own? do you need the locking tools? is it a full on...
Hi
So apparently physics and gravity took 3 centre caps and i now only have one left.
Replacements are nowhere to be found, can you guys recommend a sollution? (Preferably on ebay and with international shipping, since im not in the eu.)
Thanks
bumping this old thread,
i have replaced the battery to chasis earth, still no luck.
is it the dash cluster?
i fixed most of the issues, but this temp gauge - is driving me nuts
I just started a project on my ph1
The rear of the car is done and so is the drivers door
But theres only little difference so far since most of the noise comes from the front wheel arches and fire wall, hopefully ill be done in a few weeks
how can the arms be adjusted,
also i bought bosch wipers, and they make that terrible old wiper noise (and jumping a bit) since day one, could there be a problem with my wiper arms?
trying this again:
i think i have a bad earth problem somewhere - as i hold my window up buttons, while window is already up, the coolant temp gauge is starting to climb, if the car is running it will go up 2 dots, if not, it will go up almost all the way.
also, my trip computer shows weird fuel...
say what now???
can't find the specific one i bought - but it looked like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-35-Watt-Xenon-HID-KIT-9005-HB3-6000K-BRIGHT-BLUE-Beam-Light-/390981968915?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5b08576413&vxp=mtr
I found the problem!
They wired it the wrong way around.
I turned the red connector (where the ballast connects to the original wiring) arround and voila!
I'll add the link in a minute
Hey guys,
i recently bought a hid conversion kit off ebay, it was the cheap one, 15ish pounds (it was recommended in one of the threads here)
The seller made a mistake and sent me a set of h4 lamps(4300k), i tested them out on a friends subaru impreza gt and they worked, i later asked the seller...
bump,
Mine has done it too out of the blue for no reason whatsoever.
the spare key works fine.
any1 has a solution?
*key blinks twice if you press the button for a second, tried replacing battery, no joy =(
well i finally found a sollution - i took off the TPS and while holding the throttle open, pushed in the little grommet thingy - it appears that my butterfly had some lateral play.
Hey guys, so my troublesome clio is at it again.
i used to have a problem with the temp warning light coming on with the gauge showing normal temp, so i looked at the cts loom and it was all melted insulation, i repaired it and it was alright, until few days ago when i pushed the car a bit...
right so the windows are now fine, they stopped working due to me removing some part of the old alarm, connected the box back and windows work, now only the fogs remain...
