bumping this - happened to me today, key worked when i parked, didn't work 3 hours later. starts fine, it's just the button that doesn't work. led flashes, so it's not battery. is this fixable or do i need to get a new key?

follow up question, does the orange bushing thingy on the bottom of the gearstick wear? i mean - could it be a source of sloppiness in the gear stick?

I just started a project on my ph1 The rear of the car is done and so is the drivers door But theres only little difference so far since most of the noise comes from the front wheel arches and fire wall, hopefully ill be done in a few weeks

I found the problem! They wired it the wrong way around. I turned the red connector (where the ballast connects to the original wiring) arround and voila! I'll add the link in a minute

bump, Mine has done it too out of the blue for no reason whatsoever. the spare key works fine. any1 has a solution? *key blinks twice if you press the button for a second, tried replacing battery, no joy =(

well i finally found a sollution - i took off the TPS and while holding the throttle open, pushed in the little grommet thingy - it appears that my butterfly had some lateral play.

i changed the icv on mine (although i bought one off ebay and it's not a renault\vdo branded one - and no difference. :(

Hey guys, so my troublesome clio is at it again. i used to have a problem with the temp warning light coming on with the gauge showing normal temp, so i looked at the cts loom and it was all melted insulation, i repaired it and it was alright, until few days ago when i pushed the car a bit...

whoa mate, my issue exactly - replaced the ICV and the TDC - and no good. did you find a solution? does any one have a sollution?

if it's an air leak - where should i focus? i believe i checked everywhere.. and no - i didn't solve it quite yet...

right so the windows are now fine, they stopped working due to me removing some part of the old alarm, connected the box back and windows work, now only the fogs remain...
