    Brake Ducts

I found that cuttig the fog lamp area completely open (I filled it with mesh) and removing the arch liners kept the brakes cooler than when I had those ports and 5" ducting into the arch

What’s the PMS shifter REALLY like?

Yes as it happens, but not for the car! (25kg off me!) Every kg makes a difference, I’ve taken quite a lot of weight out of the car and adding an unnecessary (for me) 1kg lump felt wrong, also thought of what effect it would have in the linkage and box itself over time so decided not to fit it...

What’s the PMS shifter REALLY like?

yes there is a massive lump of metal that clamps onto the linkage, it weighs almost 1kg, so as mine's a track car I didn't fit it and sold it on

    EPAS on 172 Cup

on the road the lack of centring is annoying tbh but on track it's not noticeable at all for me......but, I wish I'd stayed Hpas, the electric just doesn't feel as good imo

    Rear bumper strip colour change?

Not sure it’d look good on a road car, I did mine on my track car though, mainly because I’m a tart, obviously :innocent:

Reducing heat in engine bay on track car

Sounds like you could've removed the heat shield between the master cylinder/reservoir and manifold, never had a problem with mine even on the hottest track day, gone epas now though.

    Lancer Evolution Appreciation Thread

After 9 years of chucking money at Evos, I recently sold both of mine, happy and sad in equal measures but it was time to be slightly more sensible and have a life! :grimacing: V took a few weeks to sell, X sold on pistonheads in less than 2 hours at full asking price!

    172 Cup track toy build

I've had this Scangauge lying around since my X sold so decided to put it in the Cup  Relocated the OBDII socket to the glove box

    172 Cup track toy build

I've not been on here for months! The Cup hadn't moved since last November until today, Mot'd tonight and hopefully back on track soon. I've not been able to afford Clio fun as I bought a new car earlier in the year and been modding it lol The Cup is still in great health  Goodbye Evos...

    Battery relocation help

No, if the original fuse blows and there's still a couple of meters of cable going to the battery and that's where the short is, the battery will blow as no fuse to stop it
  12. MarkX

    Battery relocation help

No, that's going to the kill switch, then to the relocated battery  the one going under the intake is the original battery cable
  13. MarkX

    Battery relocation help

100%, if the cable rubs or worse an accident and there's a short, main fuse should be near the battery, not expensive so no reason not to imo

    Battery relocation help

I did a few other things at the same time and made an improvement, hard to say what the filter relocation on it's own did tbh  Can't hurt though with a straighter run to the tb:)

    Battery relocation help

That pic is the back of the longacre from the drivers seat, cable from battery, through a 175a mega fuse to the longacre, other side of longacre to kill switch in scuttle area and kill switch down to the connector at the original battery cable. The connector came from eBay...

    Battery relocation help

Yes Ben, still run the alarm and central locking  I used a longacre pass through to get the battery cable through the bulkhead behind the dash clocks and have a kill switch on the scuttle panel. Odyssey is a PC680, I was worried it wouldn't be up to the job but it's superb  Longacre...

    Battery relocation help

Odyssey behind the passenger seat with mega fuse  Until Sunday I'd not started the Clio since it's last track day in November, 1st turn it fired, great batteries!

Nilfisk E 140.3-9 X-Tra Pressure Washer with 2.1 KW Induction Motor

Mine screwed into a fitting on the reel itself (E140.2), afaik the newer one is a banjo bolt fitting under the plastic cover, the rubber type hose is much easier used, although I just coil it up now and hang it over the handle instead of winding it up

Nilfisk E 140.3-9 X-Tra Pressure Washer with 2.1 KW Induction Motor

I have the older version of this, fantastic washer apart from the hose, which gets hard and kinks. I bought a 10m replacement off ebay though and it's much better

What have you done to your car today ???

Standard it would be mid to late teens for a mint low mile manual one, the spec this is, I need a good bit more lol I was offered £21500 last year, prices for good ones are rising so I'll keep an eye on pistonheads and have a think about it. The 19x10 Advan wheels are £3400 new without tyres and...

What have you done to your car today ???

I still love it but it's a love/hate thing lol I've had it since new(2008) spent more than I care to mention on it (550bhp), it's been horrifically unreliable and unlucky, ranging from bent rods to a neighbours shed roof coming off and (luckily ) causing paint damage. I've only done 25k...

    Which LSD?

Not sure if they actually do it I house but they quoted me for it, send your old cwp to them and they send it back a couple of days later
  29. MarkX

    Which LSD?

I'm tempted by an MFactory from pure motorsport, £695 plus £100 machining costs
