ATE Type 200 is the equivalent to super blue IIRC
Motul RBF600 or 660 is also good fluid for track use, but needs more regular changes than the ATE from experence
Mines a Cup so routing the pipe is easier as I Have no air con.
I found soaking the end in boiling water and using a squirt of WD40 helped to shove them on all the way.... Was still a b**ch tho!
I'm using Mocal AQP Aeroquip 1/2" Hose for my oil cooler on the 172 Turbo, takes some getting on, but if you use the matching fittings there no need for hose clips, and you can just cut to the length required.
And if your looking for a cheap cooler, i'm using an MGB GT 13row Oil Cooler from...
if the bearing wasn't there the rubber donut would be sitting on the upper spring plate, which would push the spacer 8-10mm up through the donut (as can be seen in your pic).
It would also cause knocking when turning as the spring will be bouncing around in the spring plate, as it won't be able...
Will grab a pic next time i'm in the garage.
The catch tank I bought had a mounting plate with 4 holes on the back already, although I had to chop one of the holes off to fit.
EDIT : this is the one I used...
Yeah that's the ones.
I find them ok on the OMP subframes, but I've removed all the prefitted spacers from the corbeau sliders to lower them slightly, and used dome Cap head bolts on the runners to allow me to use some of the lower mounting holes on the side mounts.
I looked at making...
I used Derwent Enamelers, but I think I'm going to try and find somewhere else, I've used them for about 7 years now, and they've always been good, but recently they've been incredibly slow.
I went for Corbeau Clubsport Seats on OMP Subframes, nothing special, but seem pretty good for the...
Small update...
-Finally got round to replacing the Track Rod Ends with some Lemforder ones (which I meant to do weeks ago).
-Had my Road wheels refurbished in Anthracite Grey at the Wheel Specialist in Burton and had some Uniroyal Rainsport 3's Fitted.
Just ordered some Smoked Side Repeaters...
I've got the OMP boss, and it is tight to get the wires through, but more than possible.
However I had to modify it to get the Self Cancelling Indicators to work properly,
I've got a 172 cup with no steering angle sensor so can't comment on that, but get the Momo
Out of interest which 300mm discs are you using?
I have the Ktec kit, and was thinking of knocking up some spacers to run bigger discs, but i'm struggling to find a 300mm disc to use.
Freshly Powder Coated Suspension Bits...
Satin Black Wishbones with Powerflex Black Series Bushes and New Ball Joints.
Welded some PureMotorsport subframe repair washers on the rear wishbone mounts due to them being enlarged and the bolt moving about.
Also fitted Blackseries Bushes on the...
Received my Safety Devices Rear Roll Cage from the Mark Fish Motorsport Group Buy a week or so ago, and also some Corbeau Club Sport seats (on OMP Subframes) and TRS 4 Point Harnesses, and a fire Extinguisher for good measure.
Welded the cage mounts in and fitted eye bolts and spreader plates...
Powerflex Black Series Wishbone, ARB and Rear Beam Bushes & Lemforder Ball Joints Ready for fitting.
Made a start on fitting the Rear Beam bushes yesterday, bit of a nightmare, but hopefully worth it, the OE bushes are really soft!
Spotted a tidy blue Renault Sport Clio in the Millhouse Pub car park last night.
Had a private plate (unfortunately I can't remember it), looked subtlety modified.
The cam cover and head is matched, as they are vertically honed as a pair.
I think the OP is talking about removing and re-fitting the cam cover... and not actually replacing it for a different one though.
