I haven't been here in a while, but that doesn't mean I don't still love Clio's
Had a new 1.5 DCI Dynamique S Media Nav about 12 months ago, nearing it's first birthday and young driver wrote my car off - so finally got a replacement through the insurance and I do this..
Clio on Fire by...
I have a 9 year old Clio 1.5dci wth 178k on the clock, it was squealing with the clutch depressed today, then the clutch was stiff and grinding and finally as i pulled into the drive at home i could not longer get it into gear. What with mot, service and other advisories from last year - it seems...
My car is currently at RenTech and it requires this part, they've told me it's on back order and will not know when they'll receive it until the day before.
I'm currently hiring a car at £150 a week, so time is against me.
Any bright ideas? I suppose RenTech would want a new renault part to...
Image has found in another post, but I have these alloys and I need to replace 2 of them. They are bent and allowing the air to slowly escape - I have to keep topping them up.
I've been browsing ebay, but does anyone know of anywhere else that would be good to try? Unfortunately as I sold my...
I bought a 1.5 dci Clio 80, 03 plate for ~1800 last year.
It's got a patchy service history, but I had it serviced when I bought it last year + rear brake drums, new tyres.
It has now done 140k+, I see no history to suggest it's had it's second belt change.
Should I ignore the belt...
Hi,
I have two issues, I have no Radio code and the back-light for the clock/radio display does not work.
It's a radio/tape player head unit.
I'm thinking my best bet would be to purchase a cheap second hand headunit, hopefully with cd player to replace it. Ideally spending <£20...
MOT, Service ended up costing me £841 :(
Coolant, battery, rear brake drums, shoes, cylinder, bearings, fluid.. track rod, steering rack boot.
I've had three cars this year, all three have had MOT and services this year. All three have been costly!
Merry Christmas!
The white block that you can slice up, it used for cleaning polish off bumpers and sort?
That along with a recommendation for a clay bar would be great!
Just about to sell car and want to get her in tip top condition.
I had plans to buy a 1.5d, but they are much fewer of them available and the two I was interested in were already sold when I called.
There are a lot more 1.2 16v, any thoughts as to the pro's and con's between them?
It's a car I plan to have for a year or two, as my girlfriend is just about...
My girlfriend is soon to pass her test, I currently drive a 04 182 which will not be suitable for her.
I'm thinking of buying an ~06 Clio 1.5dCi, thinking that it will be a very cost effective solution.
Is this a good way to go?
I will certainly miss my 182...
So, does anyone have any thoughts about this?
I thought I'd start googling it... I came across this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Clio_V6_Renault_Sport
The last Clio V6 retailed for £ 27,125 in the United Kingdom, until it was withdrawn from sale coinciding with a facelift for...
Hi,
I've read about the rstuner, and you can use it to upload new maps to your ecu.
I don't understand how the maps are configured, are they predefined one's that you can obtain from a source? are do you configure them unique to your car and mods?
If they are predefined, how specific are they...
Is the part purchasable separately?
Seems to be a dodgy contact of some sort, there is some rust on the edges of the contacts, but seems ok on the flat sides.
I will try cleaning it up again.
Nice alloys! what are they?
I had to travel to woking from guildford, as it's the closest morrison that I know sell crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer...
mmmmm
Also a hi to a black 182 I saw on the way back to guildford, about 7pm.
I thought it might be interesting to see what other people are paying, we may see trends that might help people switch and save some money. Every year I've shopped around a bit, but never had anyone beat direct line.
Full Comp prices only please.
Here's my details
Car: 04 182 FF
Age...
I've noticed other clios have snug fit exhausts, then I realise mine's hanging low..
It would like nicer snug, without looking under the car, what generally is involved?
ignore the polish marks on the plastic trim :) I'm going to remove them soon.
After seeing a few carbon fibre decal photos, I wondered how a blackgold 182 would look with say...
Carbon wing mirrors
Carbon diamonds
Carbon bullets
and I like the idea of carbon insert for the gear knob as it's worn anyway.
Anyone got photos floating around?
I failed emissions with a decat, so I fitted a sports cat.
Prior to fitting it, I have had the codes reset so the engine management light went out. However driving back home Sunday afternoon with the new cat, the light came back on again.
Chances to fail MOT again? not sure what I should do...
I changed spark plugs and when I turn engine on it revs up to the red, if I would have let it that is. What have I done?
On a dead line to leave and missus ain't happy
thanks guys
I've ordered the discs/pads/handbrake cable from renault.
Is it just tools I'll need to fit the new pads/discs?
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=408371&highlight=discs
Do I need to buy brake fluid as well?
I've got a few jobs to do on the car this weekend, and want to...
I've received a milltek sports can and I'm going to replace the decat.
Is it straight swap? can I do this on my own with a few sockets, I've got a jack and axle stand set on the way.
I read briefly mention of a lambda sensor.. hum?
Just ordered some NGKs, I have seen mentioned a 'spark socket' but I don't see how these differ (from google images) to what I might already have.
I have two socket sets, one deep and one not.
What else might I need?
Cheers
I checked out powerbulbs.com, even though they list options for "Clio (not sport)"
It's coming up with 501 W5W options of
Osram Cool Blue W5W
Philips Blue Vision W5W
Philips Premium W5W
All for about £10 per pack of two.
I've got a 182 with Xenon's, and I want MOT friendly, good...
