Hi folks :)
I don't know my @rse from my elbow photography-wise.
My missus has dropped hints about wanting 'an SLR' for her b/day - but she didn't realise they are the 'big black ones' :o
What she's really after is a very good quality compact camera - better than her and my crap ones at...
Hi folks
Looking for a 182 for a mate, we've found one we're off to see tonight:
* 2005 '55' plate
* 2 owners (current is an 'enthusiast')
* 80k miles
* Black-Gold
* Both Cup Packs (but missing the front Splitter :dapprove:)
* Re-Furbed Wheels & New PE2s all round
* Custom Stainless Cat-Back...
Hi folks. Anyone know how wide the wheel track of a standard mk2 172 is?
I've googled and all dimensions seem to be 'full' dimensions of the car - i.e. including wing-mirrors.
My car doesn't live with me, it's at Birchdown, otherwise I would measure it!
Can anyone help?
Cheers...
Hi folks, I've started removing all the sound deadening heavy tar cr@p from my Ph1 track car (done the front footwells and boot area so far).
As my car is fully stripped with no headlining :cool: I am now wondering how you go about taking the huge load of tar off the roof - the thick bit...
Hi folks!
As above, can anyone confirm exactly which rack to use when removing the hydraulic PAS system from a 172 (mine is a ph1)??
I have searched it, I know Mike @ Rentech and MarkCup both use this set-up, but both have posted that they are unsure exactly which rack it is!
Any help...
Hi folks, as above...
Can anyone confirm 100% whether or not you need to use a Cup Alternator with Cup Alternator Brackets?
I am removing the aircon system from my ph1 172.
Cheers, Baggers.
Hi folks, fitted some CL front pads yesterday with Brembo HC discs & new fluid (already have braided lines).
Car is mainly for track use but gets driven like it's stolen all the time. :race:
But, the CL pads don't have clips on them like OEM pads (or the M1144s I was replacing)... As a...
Hi. If considering a 172 engine upgrade with cams and ITBs I'm aware that a standalone / aftermarket ECU is needed...
My questions:
* Does the OEM ECU stay, and Omex (or whatever) work 'alongside' to do just engine stuff?
* If Omex, is an Omex 600 the right kind of thing to be looking...
I've only owned my ph1 172 12 weeks but have made a few subtle changes, including fitting a private plate (cheapie off eBay :) I've had on retention since last Feb!)...
So, today was the day I made the daunting call to the insurance broker :S - the guy I promised 12 weeks ago that the car was...
Hi guys, should I be looking at 75w80 or 75w90 gearbox oil for my highish mileage ph1 172? (it will be subject to some hard driving at track days over coming months...)
Cheers, Paul.
Hi guys, what uprated Brake Fluid is best for hard road- & harder track-use?
I have a ph1 172, currently running standard brakes (new discs & pads were fitted before I bought the car 1k miles ago, so will be staying until I've worn them out ;) not long...) with soon-to-be-fitted Goodridge...
