why lower a 172?

warning light question?
hi all just wondered if anybody has come across this issue before. 172 suspension problem
I have just recently brought a 53 plate 172 that has been stood for 3 years. I have put it back on the road but it is rock hard, if your driving at any speed over say 3mph and the road undulates the back feels like its skipping leftto right. The lad didn't change the springs so cant tell me...- sarge64
