The vibratechnics top mount/gearbox mounts are sound for road use if the road spec ones. Work well and fairly compliant with poly dogbone.

Wow, I’ve not updated this in a while. So since my last post where I had the diff fitted I went out to Donington to give it a good sending. The day all went well with no issues other than the gearstick keep jumping out of 3rd back into neutral when downshifting from 4th at high revs. I...

This is how my Vibratechnics mount looked when I installed it last year, if its of any help to you? I found that when installing the whole mount, its easiest to loosen off that little rubber one that sits on the subframe, and then start pushing stuff around until it starts to line up. It...

Arghhh. Arghhh. Arghhh. This car. I’m losing the will. I could do with some help… 1. The f**king vibratechnics gearbox mount. A curse upon their house for making such a poorly fitting part at such a premium price. At least have the decency to say “this fits like s**t. Dremel it and smack it...

Vibratechnic upper engine mount, gearbox mount and poly dogbone are decent for road use. Run them on my trophy no dash rattles etc.

Yeah true it is a noticeable difference in the cabin. I take it you don’t get that at all with the vibratechnic mounts yet they are more firm than regular engine/gbox mounts?

    Engine Mounts - Opinions please.

Vibratechnics are decent enough, and no real noticeable nvh if you use the top one and the top gearbox one, combined with a polybushed dogbone. Febi prob do an oem style top mount. Failing that the kangoo one.

    Engine Mounts - Opinions please.

I had the Vibratechnics on my old Ph1, that was pretty good. Did add some extra vibrations and "harshness" to the ride but that was a track car so I was never really bothered. Easy to fit and looked good. In my new Ph1 I have the original mount with a Powerflex insert and that does the job - I...

2023…. Upto yet I’ve only glanced through abit of this car’s history from 2019 when I bought it as a standard 1.4 automatic but not really spoke about spec. Nothing had changed much in 2023 as the car ran brilliantly throughout the year… •Renault 5 1.4 automatic (shell on 32,000 miles)...

Do you still have something supporting the engine whilst doing this? If the bolts are just loosened will they provide support but let the engine find the sweet spot? If have a jack with wood on top, would the engine idling wobble it off?! Also read some people say do the same for the...
