Clio sport 182 help needed

  182 evo 6 rs turbo
Hi all I have a 182 and need some help the car runs rough and slight misfire on idle and between 1000rpm and 2000rpm if I rev it higher it clears and its fine driving and underload it just plays up on idle cold and warm... I've changed plugs didnt make no differnce cleand out the electric throttle body no different put it on diagnostics no fault codes stored then when it was running disconnected one by one HT leads and on 123 the car either cut out or run very lumpy then on 4th it ran abit lumpy but not like the others which points me in that direction also when you turn the ignition on there's a noise from the electric throttle body should it make a noise then stop or be constantly as mines constantly making a noise....

Many thanks
James

I would go for a failing MAP sensor or the pre-cat lambda sensor. Disconnect the MAP sensor connector plug and give the car a trip round the block to see if the engine behaves better. If it does, acquire a genuine MAP sensor from Renault, cheap ebay copies are tedious for not working through the whole rev range.

As to my understanding, if it indeed is a two-lambda version, then the after-cat lambda sensor is only used for indicating a catalytic converter fault and should not affect the running.

Ok mate thanks for the information where do I find the map sensor? I put it on live data and the after cat sensor didn't work atall ?

Thanks

I unplug the top sensor on the left of the inlet manifold and it cuts out ? Cheers
Maybe try unplugging the battery negative terminal for a minute or two and then try if it will run without the MAP sensor plugged in. Detach the MAP sensor plug before disconnecting the battery...

Tried the electric throttle body no difference when the cars been running I unplugged each injector and from doing that it made it run worse so I no they are working but spray patten? Also seems to get worse as it gets warm ???? Running out of ideas

As @bloke said, get the diagnostic codes read.

what have you had it plugged in with? why do you say postcat lambda isn't working? ignore the map sensor, it isn't that.

re live data you're looking at what precat lambda and fuel trims are doing for a start.

My AA map was on the back seat, but is now lodged under the passenger seat after some cxxt pulled out in front of me.

Thanks

need to check precat is switching ok and voltage range etc. fuel trims as close to 0%.

who has actually plugged it in for you? have they only looked for codes? someone has looked at live data to say post cat isn't working but what about precat? what was that doing?

just give it back to whoever plugged it in for you, if they have got half a brain they'll be able to tell you what's wrong.
