Cruise control & horn brackets for aftermarket steering wheels

  Clio 182 Trophy #175
I no this has been done before, but i wanted to get some made up exactly how i wanted with all of the electronics hidden and a plug and play system. I set my friend the task of developing me the below system and im quite impressed. The device is plug and play and works/fits very well as he 3D printed the brackets and sourced good quality components. Let me know what you think? im happy to get the kits made up and sell but i wouldn't be able to get them done for less than £90 delivered and i would need at least 5 people committed to be worth it. Also i would need the connectors of your old steering wheel as they are a nightmare to get from Renault and i haven't managed to get any yet!

The next plan is getting the brackets CNC machined in aluminum and then anodized but unfortunately the cost would rise. A big upside to the 3D printed method is weight it is so light! but the quality of 3D printed material isn't great but i think its ok myself. And another project on the go is integrating shift lights across the top edge of the bracket... again let me know what you think.

The cover on the left hand side is just a cover for a potential additional button.

What do people think on the 3d printed quality?

Looks like typical 3D printing to me.

You could always sand them smooth and paint them or cover in vinyl. You could have any finish you like then.
