Unknown sound from front of Clio (video)

I noticed the other night a sound coming from the front of the car and filmed it, it didn't sound healthy at all, it seemed to only do it between 15mph and 20mph rolling but since then I've heard it at other time. It only seems to do it in a straight line! any ideas what this could be, I've have the car up on jack stands with the engine going and trying 1st 2nd 3rd at different speeds but it doesn't seem to do it when there's no weight on it.

Any suggestions or help is much appreciated :)

Anyone got any ideas what it could be?
it seems to be coming from the middle at the front. it's kind of like a rotating grinding noise. quite loud, seems to be louder after a longer journey. you don't hear it in gear when on the throttle but as soon as the clutch goes in you hear it, so you hear it every time you change gear!

I don't really want to take it too a garage, I'd rather fix it myself. I like to learn

Any help is appreciated.

I can't hear anything.
Simple thing to check. Are your wheel bolts actually tight, can cause horrible noises if not.

Really? It stops at 3 seconds in and then you can hear it quite well 8 seconds onwards! :/

yeah they are all tight! You can't hear it in any of the gears but as soon as you put the clutch down the noise starts. Like a rotating grinding kinds noise

Constant like knocking noise or however you describe that noise!stops at 25 seconds and start again 28 after I put it in gear and accelerate again? Can people really not hear the noise? It's the only thing you can hear in the video

Check your driveshafts for up and down movement. Could be them that are goosed and moving around (gearbox end). Could be wheel bearings, could be diff bearings.

I can hear the noise your on about mate.

thank you! I did think it was driveshaft problem but I don't have a clue what to look for when checking them! Okay I'll have a look for up and down movement. if there's a lot of movement are they retively straight forward to change?
Wheel bearings are good too! Diff bearings? Now how can I check that?

Thank you mate appreciate it, I'm glad someone else can! Very helpful

Yeah piece of piss mate. The passenger side shaft is oil side, so you'll have to drop the gear oil out to change that one.
Diff bearings aren't so easy. Could even be a bearing inside the box tbh. Only way to find them is rip the box out and pull it apart I'm afraid.

Either Renault or a motor factors mate. Factors will be the cheaper option.
