Advice on uprated front ARB bushes

  172 cup
Looking to change my inner bushes as mine are split and looking tired.

I've read on here stick with the OE ones? What's other people's thoughts with updated bushes?

Cheers

I installed the Powerflex ones (only inner are Powerflex) and so far I cant fault them. My OE ones were shot as well.

That is how they looked

And the new ones (25mm ARB on mine)

And installed (they were a bugger to replace I reckon, quite fiddly)

Is there any easy way to tell what ARB your Clio will have fitted as stock, or is it just a case of scrabbling around under the car with a caliper to take a measurement??

I would measure it. I made that mistake to be honest. Ordered 24 or 23mm bushings first, so effectively I had to do it twice...

I dropped the subframe on mine to change all the bushes as these are a c**k to do.

They're an absolute piece of piss with a crowbar.

I struggled for hours trying with mole grips/mini g-clamps.

Brought out the punisher and got it done instantly. It's all about the levereage.

I made the hole in the subframe (for the bolts) just a mm or 2 larger. When tightening it, it returns to normal position.
