Foams? Citric acid? Wax friendly? I JUST WANT TO WASH MY CAR!!!! HEEELP!!

  Listerine & Poledo
This is all melting my brain.

All I want is to wash my car with minimal effort and maximum pace. As spending a whole weekend furiously polishing, only to then get road grime on the car within 100yds of setting off......that's just a waste of my life.
FFS, it's a 13yr old car, you can't wash away stone chips and scratches,

My ideal scenario
Hose car in RDS, Snow foam it, mitt it down (1 bucket will do), rinse, wax. (even that's a maybe).

So, I have quick wax, RDS and a Karcher K2 with the Karcher "thats not a foam lance" foam lance.
What fluids do I need to use to just clean the damn car... not make it so I can bombard the internet with photos of water on the boot, or have masking tape running down the bonnet.

Sounds like you should just take it to the Polish at Sainsbury's. Do it right or don't bother tbh.. Inbetween is a bit silly.

Tough coat is my best friend at the moment.

It goes on easily and comes off easily. And makes my car look amazing.

Doubt I'll ever go back to using wax again.

spot on.

So, could that almost be proof that you can wash a car, without spending all weekend about it?
The kids will understand when they haven't got their mum washing their pants any more.

Took me about 2 hours to do mine last Saturday.

I don't mind spending a lot longer during the summer but when it's freezing f**king cold I want it done double lively.

That made me LOL hard. On the train.

Have you tried AM Details AM Seal buddy? Almost double the amount of product for the same money, I rate it highly..

This is the point Gooch. Quick and easy means well protected. My car takes less time to wash than yours because I have spent a weekend a year protecting it. I could protect yours in a similar way in the time it takes you/Ant to install the new badmanz boom box y0 on Saturday down T'Unit...

I wouldn't mind doing a pre-spring mega-clean, as an annual event or whatever. I would likely learn much if we were to do such a thing too. Might tap you up once the hard-top comes off

Why when the hard top comes off? Surely do the painted hard top as well now and then just the hood/interior in spring? Let's have a wee look when I get there on Saturday. What's Ant doing to it?

Just lube and plugs, no biggie :)

I see it as there being not much sense in doing a hyper clean when, after a 70m trip on the M11, crystal blue will be crystal brown.
But hey, I started this thread for useful advice so will happily now to those with knowledge :)

Spray sealants are just so easy to use. I recommend them a lot.
