Ktec Coilovers Knocking on 182 Cup..... any idea's ??

Hello Chaps wondering if anyone can help me.
Ive had a full suspension refresh as part of the overhaul i've had to do since getting my car. Now everything is either new or been checked and is all fine but on test drive garage have said there is a noticeable knocking on bumpy roads, on smooth roads it drives perfectly but is very noticable on uneven or bumpy roads. There is also a clicking coming from from end at low speeds. Can anyone shed light on this as cars been off the road for a month already !
Many thanks in advance

Check your driveshafts on the hub end. Chassis might need notching if you've lowered it a considerable amount. You'll see where the driveshaft has been making contact.

Couldn't tell you what the clicking is mate. Nothing catching?

I had ktecs on my old 182

I had a knock on the coilovers, take the coilovers off and loosen top mount etc to get the spring off, youve got the chrome piston (unsure of correct term) theres a hole that this comes out of the shock through, this metal 'cap' is screwed in and mine came loose causing the 'piston' to be all loose and sloppy, there should be two hole indents on this cap, i took it off, locktited it and tapped it round tight with a hammer and punch

Terrible explanation but may help

Even if the dfivesahfts are new, they will still know if the car is still lowered by a fair bit. As above, you will see if it has been k locking on the chassis and if so, take a bit out of the chassis or raise it up.

Are the ktec coilovers new?

I was going to put a picture of mine up tomorrow when I get it on the ramps to show what I mean. Mine did the same and there was damage to the chassis and shaft.

Mines exactly the same. I don't really want to notch it though. I just drive slow on bumpy roads.

What top mounts are fitted? And have you replaced the original spacer and 17mm nut with modified 27mm part 82 00 867 250.?
