I have a decat on my standard exhaust. Mainly because the cat was f*cked! The only thing you will find is the engine management light will stay on permanently.
As for fitting, it cost me about £20 to get fitted in a local garage.
I have finally decided to get off my arse and remove my rear seats this weekend, looking to carpet the rear as i think it looks much smarter and tidier.
Just wondering what type of carpet people are using in the rear as have no idea what to use!
Cheers
There are a few 182's i have spotted in eastbourne, not got round to seeing if any of them are on here yet though
p.s. that wasnt me you saw, just thought id mention it!
Bonjour!
I am thinking abount changing the exhaust on my 182 and perhaps throwing an induction kit into the mix. Spoke to my insurance company (admiral) to see how this would affect my policy and they quoted an extra
£150 for the exhaust
£50 for the induction kit
The exhaust sounds a...
How Many cars have you written off to manage that!
I got my 182 at 19 as my 3rd car, wrote off the first one and had 1yrs ncb. Insurance is a tad over £1500.
I basically had the choice of moving out or buying a new car....naturally i chose the latter...ironing is overated anyway!!
Hi mate, Its worth bearing in mind that the head unit doesnt have a cd player, if im honest you will get better value for money with something like the Alpine CDE-114BTi, its not quite as good looking but it has front usb/ aux, ipod control and bluetooth.
Food for thought anyway
I did exactly the same thing with my insurance, put a £750 excess on there to keep the cost down, not realising there was already a compulsary £350!
They dont exactly make it clear when you apply for the cover
Re: Insurance. Fookers! (young 172/182 owners look in)
I am 20, wrote of my first car but have 2 years no claims. Managed to get insurance on my 182 through Admiral for £1500. However if i chose to pay monthly it went up to £2200!
Had to raid my savings for that one!
I had the same problem, I had to be 21 to get insured as a named driver on my mums mini cooper yet they were happy to insure me on a 182!
The car insurance world strange and unpredictable beast!
