Not in the least bit surprised! Has the hangover set in yet?? Youll be in bed for the rest of the week mate!!
Drowning your sorrows Im gathering? Being a blue-nose Ill refrain from comment... :devilish:
If youre spending that kinda money on insurance its really not worth doing it in your dads name, especially as it sounds as though youre not getting the benefit of a full NCD in his name which has been mirrored from his own policy. Youd be much better to build up some NCD in your own name...
I cant believe they voided your policy over alloys!!! For a start you can easily justify not advising the insurer that the car had been modified when the car came with alloys and you just chose a slightly different design and size, which were probably of less replacement value than Renaults own...
I think that would be true. Its probably a good thing that you didnt sign and return the proposal form as well, as youve not signed any declaration that UKI could produce to the Ombudsman/in court to say the car hasnt been modified! You could also claim for loss of use, or some kind of...

You dont need to worry about liability to the other party, even if you hit a Ferrari your insurance company are obliged to deal with the claim as the certificate indicates that for the purposes of the Road Traffic Act that your insurance company are the insurer. Its only cover for your own car...
I get a very poor mileage out of my 1.2 16v, a full tank of petrol (ie. filled up after 45 miles of driving with the warning light on!!!) gets me 180 miles. Must be about 20mpg tops. Admittedly I do change gear at 5.5K RPM most of th etime when Im driving!!!
Ive got a Scorpon Boxer cat-back GrpA spec system. And although it sounds mint, I suspect it has lost me power rather than gained anything, but hey, its not exactly a racing car in the first place (unlike like these 172 Racers mentioned above!). Im happy with good looks and sound, and enough...
