Steering Column Lock removal and Central Locking

One question is how to remove the steering lock. I'll be interested in knowing how.

    172 to 197

I think reliability needs to be considered too. A 197 should be more reliable but mine did have a crunchy gearbox at the end...

After the French Clio 200 Turbo...

Most insurers will increase the premium for a modified car. Normally, the more you mod it the more it costs and pricing can be in 'bands'. Phone up someone like A-plan and they will give you some advice i'm sure Love the grey Clio by the way. Mike

    182 or 197?

I have had a 182 and now own a 197. The 197 is a step up in refinement and is more sure footed when it comes to handling. But...for outright fun? It's the 182. If you go for the Trophy, check the dampers. They are expensive to rebuild. I would get one from off this site if you can

    197 Tyres

TBH I found the Exaltos to be great all round tyres, on track and the road. Amazing grip. Can anyone tell me if the Conti's are equal?

    197 Tyres

Sorry, boring question and hopefully one to be answered quickly - what where the standard tyres fitted on the 197 cup 2008. What where the size

I looked into this for when I go skiing. It can be an expensive process if you go to Halfords/Renault.

    My 172 Cup (T5MY G) & 172 Stealth (T5M YO)

Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) 191.2 Bhp & 173.4 Torque Northampton Motorsport are a great outfit. You won't be disappointed. Not the cheapest but they really know their stuff.

Are you 19 with a RS?

All you need is a car with a good chassis, good tyres and good brakes. Do a track day and you will learn that power means nothing without the ability to use it. I had great fun in a 1.2 clio with sticky tyres. Getting most out of a car is fun. MX5?
