Things are good yeah, Jack did say he was off to work with you. I ended up buying a silver ph1 172. Its getting there. I've done s**t tones to it since I got it. Waiting on a tracking set up and its finished!

2. Sounds like a broken abs ring. Friend has the same problem. His is definately a broken ring.

It looks like it's had a new tensioner recently. I'd be making sure belt is seated properly and I'd start the car to see if the aircon pulley is definitely seized. If so becareful because I'd imagine the belt wont last long. IF it snapped could wrap around the crank then its game over.

Guys just an update. Problem solved. Someone had tried to 'polish' my throttle body with quite a rough sand paper. When you put it up to the sunlight you could see an uneven gap around the butterfly. Thanks to djw Dave for helping me out with a throttle body! Thanks to the guys for trying...

Hi guys thanks for the replies. I recently changed the box earth strap but ill look at the others. As for the icv i changed it for a new magnetti morelli one from renparts.

Hope it works. The symptoms were the exact same

Guys i also have the same problem just not from cleaning the tb. Ivery put a new icv on mine. No use. Checked for air leaks also no use. Going to try a tps

Hi mate. I also had this problem on my ph1 and believe it or not i changed the earth strap that goes from the box to the front panel (behind passenger headlight) and this sorted it. Never once done it again.

any ideas?
